I agree -its a demand driven industry. Many people watch -so producers and investors nowadays don't really look at script value. If they have a big star that can draw audiences in as well as PPL. They can make money off of the k-drama -something a lot of viewers don't understand-which is why we are getting a lot of luck-luster scripts. Not to mention the tropes -some writers are forced to implement because directors are scared of trying new things -hence we have over 100 dramas -almost being the same...
Also lets not forget that actors also choose dramas that can make them money instead of hoping for blockbusters. They need to eat -so if they get a role -especially -new popular stars that get breakout roles-they'll take it to stay relevant. But that only works for so long...
A good example in my books is Lee Jae Wook ( he honestly had AMAZING dramas before the Impossible heir) -After Alchemy of Souls - I can't name one drama that stood out for me that he has done since then.... But you can't blame him. He's young ... I hope that after he's military service -he'll come back with something better.

I will speak for myself. Whether, people on this site like him or not. The truth is that this man was falsely accused and used as a scapegoat by KSR's family. He as a human being deserves the right to prove his innocence. He followed through with the relevant investigation processes and he was found to be a 'victim' while the perpetrators, Garosero , is now in jail. Next, is KSR's family...-can't wait for that...
