I was just watching a show called Pinggyego with Yoo Jae Suk , Lee Kwang Soo and Park Bo Young . Park Bo Young mentioned how she was involved in a dating rumor with Director Kim Hee-won.
The rumor got blown so out of proportion from a small article which she initially laughed about until blogs started writing about it and her father's friends started asking her father about the director as if its true.
S.Korea has a huge problem with their rumor mills but the people that milk this the most are the blogs, magazines and industries who shamelessly force reporters to create provocative headlines for clicks and viewer advantage...
KSH is a victim of that. He was forced to have a press conference to speak on something he was accused of -he didn't have to but I commend him for standing up and speaking his truth. Not because he is a man-as the haters love to say but because he is beyond brave. Not a lot of people can do that.
Look at Cha Eun Woo -his case was probably a contention of the tax amounts that he didn't agree which and he could of contested but because he is a public person-he was made to pay and apologize -which is an admission of guilt....
Now imagine the accusation placed against KSH -that he was responsible for the death of someone he hadn't spoked to in 5 years. That he was responsible foe her debt issues and that he dated her when she was a minor. Imagine going up in front of the world screaming your innocence -when they've branded you guilty especially in his society-when a rumor mentioned -writes off your whole career doesn't matter if you're guilty or innocent....
For that is one of the reasons why we had suicides of Kim Sae Ron , Lee Sun-Kyun and even the late Song Young Kyu -who died from public persecution. That's all there is to this. People are looking for a sacrificial lamb and KSH is the perfect lamb in this messed up story...
