Just finished ep. 18 and Elise is the absolute worst.

Then every single person on this thread must demand the cancellation of all Chinese dramas because in countless numbers of them they show the CCP as a lawful, compassionate, freedom-loving government run for the people. Pure propaganda from an evil, murderous empire. But where's the outrage about C-dramas distorting historical fact?

The people demanding cancellation are wanting us all to stop watching.

THIS. I love how everyone here seems to be speaking on behalf of others. When in reality, by their own rules, they can't have an opinion either because they didn't live in that period.

The point is this: censoring art (whether it be tasteful or not) because some people don't like it is actually the opposite of what people fight for when they fight for Democracy.

Not to mention 4 seasons of Man In The High Castle where Nazis won WWII.

If one chooses to learn history from a fictional TV show, that's his or her own fault. Communist China influencing international content is another issue entirely.

And democracy means people can create the art they want without fear so...

Okay. So if the only people who can have opinions on things are the people a particular story involves, then no one can have an opinion on anything unless the storyline or characters mirror their own life somehow. That's what I'm understanding from the other side of this controversy.

It's not a documentary. It's a fictional TV show. History still happened. Snowdrop is fake and is incapable of changing the past. Now let's move on and just enjoy this drama. Jeez!

For anyone wondering: Ep. 0 is included in the episode count, bringing the total to 8 episodes.

Cai Bing really pissed me off in Ep. 7. I used to support her, but no more. She seems very self-centered and definitely not a team player. She's also over-confident in her abilities. Disappointing to say the least.

Who else desperately needs a second season of this?

Very much enjoyed the first part of this drama, but like others have said, things go downhill toward the last 10 episodes. Still an overall good series with great leads.

So what about the teaser at the end for more Ferryman with Liu Zhi Yang and Xiao Yin? Is that not gonna happen? :(

So what's the airing situation with this show?

I really enjoyed this show, especially the "Older Idols" vs. "Young Idols" format. The show really found its groove around the halfway mark so I hope we get a second season at some point.

There hasn't been an official statement that the series has finished. As far as we know we are still waiting on the currently delayed 17th and final episode, which will more than likely be a newly filmed episode after the controversy regarding the previously planned finale. I wish people would stop editing the air dates until we know for sure what's going on.
