Tysm!! Okay, so basically in the novel they reunite in uni 1 year later but in the drama they’re gonna reunite once they come back together as adults in Zhazhating. Do you think there’s any specific reasoning behind this change? It’s kinda sad 🥲

Yes!! I was referring to them going to different universities but even if they WOULD HAVE maintained their contact/relationship it probably wouldn't have worked out b/c of the distance and their respective struggles. I'm glad they reconnect after they have made a life and living for themselves since that provides them a lot of freedom and definitely the ability to appreciate their lives together as adults!

She goes back as a senior after 1 year of being absent junior year due to taking care of her mom and at the start of her senior year back home she left due to her dads problem. He dropped out almost 2 years ago, around the start/middle of his senior year due to his grandma's condition and financial problems. I'm pretty sure his friends (green & red) don't go to school or since they were on summer break they haven't been seen at school yet

That's good!! At least it's not some third act breakup. I'm glad they get to grow and become adults and that their adult life is spent together where they're more stable and able to make decisions independently. Since even if they did have something going in uni the whole long distance/different lifestyle wouldn't have really favored them. It's good that they have that transition and able to just be together. Hopefully, there's no big drama and it's just kind of a falling apart b/c of the diff uni's and family problems/difficulties since that would def speed up their relationships once they reunite

In the drama: She was around 15-16 when they first met but now that they’re married she’s 19ish b/c she had the 3 year mourning period and basically 1 year from the time her and Yanyun started interacting ( so like 4 years later) I’m guessing Yanyun is late 20s tbh b/c he got married young too and (probs 18ish)his wife passed so he’s been mourning for a while ( also life expectancy was around 40-50 years in Ming Dynasty so for him to be called “young” for his position I don’t think he would necessarily be in his mid to late thirties)

Right cuz I also thought the hand gesture that Qingpu made was like about making out ( now idk b/c they’re making it such a big deal) 😂😂

Def bad b/c the ml had a whole scene where he realized his masters plan, and you see him being very upset and basically plotting to pretend to be on their side, but actually being neutral so he can eventually make a plan to save himself and not side with his master

EXACLY, like they're acting like she was the scientist who created the product out here. Just because she promoted a product doesn't mean she's in charge of the creation of it. There's only so much investigation you can do as a model/spokesperson for a product (it's not like they're gonna give you the recipe for you to inspect). ALSO, the lack of mention of her mom with the whole incident really shows the audacity of people, especially b/c she was most likely a rookie at that time so it's not like she was well versed in that world yet (unlike her mom 🙄). That Na jin girl saying "What is she doing here" acting like she was the one in the lab creating the product and not just a rookie promoter who had endless backlash and got the blame of it all ( for a sec I though she was an ex classmate or something the way she was referring to her like she knows her fr 🤡) obv she's jealous and her lack of understanding is hindering that even further.

The Meng is her mothers family that her dad married into ( her maternal grandfather was a noble general) & her dad’s name was Wei Qilin ( worked for Wei family so he adopted their family name/ like Xie Zheng’s soldiers do).
