There are queer elements to the storyline. However, the advertising for this story was truly misleading. the assumption was that there would be a solid relationship between the “angel” and victim of bullying. I would say not. Actually it felt like a huge amount of the story ended up focusing on the bully??! Also having the two queer characters from the show being portrayed as a predator and the other one being portrayed as struggling with their mental illness ties into extremely negative stereotypes of queer people which makes me extremely disappointed in the writing and storyline of the show. It was lowkey giving homophobia which I’m seriously hoping I’m just imagining. This had the potential to be good, but ultimately it felt like it just sank right down to the bottom for me as we approached the ending. I could already feel the tragedy brewing on the horizon. Imagine my disappointment when my prediction came true.
