Finished Fate Chooses You — binged from ep 31 to avoid spoilers.
The happy ending? Technically yes. Emotionally? Not quite. The climax felt underwhelming. Lu Qian Qiao looked stunning in War Demon mode, but defeating everyone with a flick of a finger didn’t exactly hit hard.
With two episodes left, I expected more romance. Instead, we got a reunion that barely breathed — and don’t get me started on the curse being erased with one brush stroke.

This could’ve been a solid 9/10. The final stretch dropped it to 7.5/10 for me.
Still, Ren Jia Lun as Lu Qian Qiao? No complaints. Every expression? Top tier. Handsome War Demon supremacy remains undefeated. 🤭✨
Does anyone else feel like Lin Mu Han fits the second male lead role better than Jin Lun?
I’m not sure, but up until the latest episode, Lin Mu Han feels more impactful to me — in terms of involvement in the story and especially his range of expressions.
For some reason, he just leaves a stronger impression compared to Jin Lun.
The writing truly delivered. The way an important early-episode plot point was reintroduced and executed so seamlessly in the latest episode? Brilliant.
I genuinely wish I could erase my memory and experience the Lu Qian Qiao and Fu Tian scenes for the first time again.
Although I haven’t watched all of Ren Jialun’s dramas, I can say Lu Huai is easily my favorite character he…
Just want to share my thoughts
Current Ren Jia Lun Character Ranking (subject to change 😆):
🥇 Lu Qian Qiao – Currently fighting for the top spot with Jiu Xuanye (mostly because The Demon Hunter’s Romance was my first RJL drama). But we’ll see how things shift once Fate Chooses You finishes.
🥈 Jiu Xuanye – The OG for me. First impressions really do matter 😆
🥉 Chang Yi (The Blue Whisper) – Securely in my top three.
While waiting for new episodes of Fate Chooses You, I’ve also started watching Lu Yi in Under the Power
How come I can't find that actress on the cast list
The actress who plays Sister Ying — the one who seems to be taking a liking to Meishan Jun? She was also a supporting character in Love and Crown, as Min Jia. She helped the main couple reconcile there.
I remember trying to look for her name in the Love and Crown cast list before, but I couldn’t find it either.
I checked the cast list again recently and finally found her — her name is Li Kang. She’s a 2004 liner and only has three dramas under her belt so far (including Fate Chooses You)
I'm really curious....why is Allen still doing romance drama when he knows he clearly won't put his all into it.…
Cmiiw, but from what I heard, Ren Jia Lun’s last two costume dramas (Love and Crown and Fate Chooses You) weren’t entirely his personal choices. They were projects arranged by his former agency as part of the agreement for him to leave. So it doesn’t feel fair to place all the responsibility on RJL.
After officially parting ways with the agency, his project choices seem to have shifted. Instead of romance-focused dramas, he’s taken on more serious roles — Silent Tides, which is based on the real historical struggles of the people of Macau, and Abbys, which appears to be a crime-themed drama and likely without a romance focus.
Looking at this, it seems pretty clear that his current direction isn’t centered on romance anymore.
The end of ep 19 and the start of ep 20 gave me ALL the feels. It hurt so good 😭
And those fighting scenes? Pure icing on the cake. Chef’s kiss.
After episodes of him just sitting back, observing, talking with his buddy while others flexed their combat skills, watching LQQ casually defeat everyone without breaking a sweat was insanely satisfying

With Ren Jia Lun, a hug is basically peak romance 😆
But give me one intense look from him toward his woman, and I’m done. Instant butterflies.

He honestly has some of the best character growth, and his facial expressions are just priceless 😆

That was pure drama magic.
