Is there a reason MDL allows ratings on unaired episodes? Because it's really noticeable on a lot of dramas that trolls voted one way or another.

I caved and switched to Viki from Mango. The subtitles really were getting worse as the show went on. I was trying to watch tonight and finally had enough. To make it worse, I mostly watch on my desktop, and the subtitles were minuscule! I felt like I was missing most of the visuals trying to read them. It was an instant improvement when I switched to Viki.

Mango apparently does one ep over the weekends.

I'm never going to like AI replacing actual artists' work, but at least it showed they cared enough to make it fit the drama. Unlike another very recent and much reviled intro.

CZY is dubbed. He didn't have time to do his own dubbing with his schedule.

I gave a chance to some well recommended dramas that had high 8 - 9 ratings on here, and I had to drop them. Some made me want to pull my hair out with how bad the acting and scripts were. Now, I'm a 'to each their own' girlie, but sometimes people are just wrong haha

I'm not sure I'm the best person to ask, but cdramas have a ranking system for productions. S+ dramas have the highest level of investments, meaning they have the money to spend on quality control. This production did not have S+ level backing.

I think a lot of people were expecting S+ quality for this drama. Some may have forgotten, or even not heard about, the money troubles they had. That it even made it to air is a feat! Add in the 4 episodes worth of content that was cut, I'm not surprised that the editing is choppy.

But I'm enjoying it so far! Wu Jinyan is my girl! I'd watch her watch paint dry. And I originally had no opinion about Chen Zheyuan, but I watched most of Fated Hearts recently, and grew to like him. I was also endeared by his variety show clips. Can't wait to see how their chemistry evolves!

I haven't even seen an announcement about the license. I've seen the Hunan tv schedule going around, but that's it.

With being busy and other dramas airing taking up my time, I've been stalled at episode 29 for a while now. I'm gonna be honest and say I'm not really feeling the urge to finish this drama. I also don't understand the 8.7 rating either. To each their own, I guess.

I am genuinely enjoying this drama. Meng Ziyi plays the smart, calculating FL well, and He Yu is so good as the ML! The dynamic between him and Tian Yuan is so fun! The Crown Prince simping after the FL is adorable. I think the plot needs to really start moving forward tho.

I kept going and just started ep 30. The plot seemed better for a bit, but there has been some really stupid writing decisions the last few episodes that have soured my viewing experience. I'm considering skipping ahead rather than dropping it completely.

I'm 20 episodes in now, and I don't know if I will continue with this. The plot has been a little too obvious, and I find myself only caring about the FL, ML, ML's generals, and the Susha Emperor as characters. The rest are boring and one note. I was enjoying it a lot before this, so I'm going to try to keep going, but I've already started FFing thru scenes, which is not a good sign.

I'm ten episodes in as of now, and I very much agree that editing is it's weakest point. I'm also not fully sold on the FL as a romantic partner. She fits the tough, soldier role well tho, so I'll keep going.

I have, and it's definitely improved. That first ep was way too heavily edited.

Is the entire drama as frantic as the 1st episode?

I put this on my watchlist knowing it wasn't a great drama, and at least I was entertained for a while. But now I am struggling to get through this. I agree with others it should have been much shorter. These supposed adults, with adult jobs, being so childish about relationships is near intolerable.

I was already interested in this because I like Liu Xueyi's acting, but that trailer was so good! Never mind his character, I want to know all about these women! This might be my most anticipated drama! Hopefully it will drop soon.
