What is love, actually?
I struggled through ep1; Gun was a character wif such a low self esteem while Off was a total jerk. But as I continued into the series, their characters developed through highs and lows, providing more depth to their characters. Gun became so strong I wish he didn't and Off became so enduring that I felt sorry for him, especiallythe scene at the train station.
Unlike other Thai BL series, this story was focused and had (well, almost-had) no strange twists like TharnType or question-filled endings like UWMG and 2gether. Everything was well edited and everything was explained clearly to the viewers.
TOL was an emothional ride of sadness and joy, frustration and relief, hope and helplessness, all relatable to real life yet one wishes will happen in real life. Has the potential for a part 2 or a spin-off for the other characters.

Actors vs. Content
Im going to start wif the end, why? The plot took a drastic turn and made an (almost-perfect) love story into a mystry-blackmail-horror.If u like both lead actors, you will love this series. But if u also want good script and content, then u may be quite disappointed.
Both Mew and Gulf acted well. Gulf was superb, very likeable. Mew's character was intrusive and creepy, given the script that Gulf was sexually abused by another man before. His fear is real for a lot of people. To fall for someone who gives you hickies while you are asleep? Very creepy.
Just when u thought ok, the story is getting alright, the plot suddenly changes direction and goes into LA Law/Nancy Drew mystery. Incomprehensible.
Mew took much effort to get into character for the last few episodes and not his fault that the script ended in that direction. I had more questions than empathy for him at that point.
