Hey all, I have a question, but it's pretty specific, so I will put it in a spoiler comment under this.
I am only on episode 18, so this may come up in later episodes, but I am perplexed as to why Nan Heng's father hates him so much. I thought it was the death of the consort/Gui Hong's aunt but I saw the scene before that even happened and he was still being a calls A bastard to his own child for no reason. Does this get explained, or is it just one of those "I hate you because of the plot" things?
I really feel bad for Nan Heng, the guy like had zero chance of not being a villain, even a little bit and even when he's not, he's always made out to be the bad guy. I almost cried when he told him to cut off his hand. What a sick freak! But Zhang Zheng Yang is amazing at portraying him!
