He clearly loves his wife, taking any opportunity to hear about her, but he does not admit it. He also doesn't realise that all she wants to hear, he loves her. he has 14 more episodes to get there ๐ I do like that theyre only only concentrating on. Xu Yan's life but we get to know that Haoming is a clever business man, not just a brainless nepobaby.
I don't think, the low rating is justified. I just binged the first 6 episodes (as much as you can binge having a family on a weekend), but i did enjoy it so far. I like pretty much everything about it, it's a slow moving show, they take their time before the act mostly, there is sadness coming but nothing really unexpected in this genre. even if it becomes a sad ending (which we dont know yet), it still is good, we might just need some tissues ๐คง. I am glad i am up to date now with this show and will carry on this coming Friday.
Try boys over flower. Similaroveracting roles but also a few cool characters
I think that was pretty much one of the first k dramas i watched but I couldn't finish it. I did finish Meteor garden that I preferred, however the ending there was just odd. Wonder how Boys over flower ending was, i might give it another whirl ๐
but based on the preview it will happen, no? he will transfer the power to her and clearly reincarnates as well or at least thats what ive gathered without reading the novel.
Honestly, nearing the endโaround the last three episodesโI felt it was really flat. It totally crushed my…
I find this is the issue with 95% of c dramas. good start, entertaining middle and falling flat at the end. very few i could thoroughly enjoy till the last moment. This one with Chu Zhao dominating at then end few episodes, pffff, just why. literally nobody cared ๐ค I did like this overall, few good fight scenes, lovely confessions, yearning in between. I might not be expecting a lot anymore, but I think the chemistry between them was definitely worth watching.
I was just going to ask if I missed it in the drama - why did He Yan have to stand in for him and what was he…
Oh i see, ive clearly missed the cure by Xu (just hate thr dude so probably wasnt watching wholeheartedly), and i thought that the explanation He Yan knew about the sickly brother, etc was not entirely true. Like they make her wear a mask thinking that at some point the real Rufei comes back? But then why sending alone to the temple... and for the connections to the Wutuo - thats through Xu as well, but then they were chitchatting like they always mew each other when the leader visited him. Thank you for sharing the story, i totally missed it.
I hope they will explain the reason behind He Rufei's antagonism, maybe his past, his motives. It just feels weird…
I was just going to ask if I missed it in the drama - why did He Yan have to stand in for him and what was he doing in the temple for years? also, if he was in there for his entire life, how does he know the Wutuo leaders to the point theyre joking around and sorting out battles? I was thinking maybe he was a cruel child and they locked him away? I suppose there was more in the novel about him maybe?
Genuine question for those who did NOT read the novel - are you still enjoying the drama? Is the story coherent…
I've not read the novel but thoroughly enjoy this drama. One of my favourites so far this year. What you don't know, you don't miss. I never once read a book and watched a film which would live up to what I'd imagine, I dont think, so I can understand the novel readers disappointment, but it certainly does not apply to me. 10/10 for me, mainly for the chemistry, I'm not gonna lie, but I genuinely like the whole show.
same! I hardly ever rate, but gave my 10 already 2 days ago ๐
I think its a strong contender for me to be the best Cdrama in 2025 and I loved Dream within a Dream, which was leading until the General came along ๐
24 episodes for part 2 is totally unnecessary. They should have wrapped it all up within the 40 episode quota an get a single release and we would have been done and dusted with it. Part 1 was soo good, compared to that part 2 hasn't added much, or not yet and we are half way through...
I've not finished yet, waiting for Viki to release the express episodes. my take on the drama though. I generally…
oh I think i judged early, i still have one episode to go, but after the awkward middle part of the drama, the last few episodes are actually quite decent. chemistry appeared (or came back i think right at the beginning when there was no romance, the banter was good between leads). I think as the pressure of kisses were off, the last few episodes are playing nicely, everyone seems to be getting on, comfortable around each other and.the main couple clearly living a couple life as theyre interacting, no intimacy but i dont think it's missing really. so I'd say the last quarter of this drama took me by surprise, overall was not that bad at all.
Did ZZW not die? What was he doing in the final episode? It was very bad story telling at the end, so we jumped…
I think for me it was not clear, it is not going to cause sleepless nights for me, to be fair I mostly even forgot as it was just not a story to stick for me... if you enjoyed, they reached the right audience..I do prefer clean story telling where you dont have to second guess what the earth was going on that is all.
