I know that these longer family dramas are intentionally over acted and exaggerated but this is just horrible. The main character Daepung is so beyond obnoxious that I want to strangle his character, Bokshil is just a pathetic doormat that acts like a whimpering puppy, the Mother wants to marry off her three older sons but doesn't like any of the women that they've brought previously, then she doesn't like the ones that they want to marry now. She's honestly just overbearing, and yes I know kdrama mothers tend to be. She also doesn't want Daepung to marry Bokshil, despite the fact that she has been taking advantage of her helping around the house and acting like a daughter-in-law for 3 years previously. The father is useless, the grandfather is irritating.

Now at episodes 29-31 Bokshil has a mysterious past and has been abducted by what is most likely her father so that she can go back to being a doctor in what is probably a huge hospital that she's the chaebol of or some crap. I started watching this for Ji Chang Wook and he's barely in it and honestly the rest of the characters are just annoying, only the oldest brother is normal. The middle brother and his actress wife are mildly annoying when they're on screen then you completely forget they exist when they're not on screen. We're supposed to root for Daepung and Bokshil but honestly they're a horrible couple, he's horrible to her all the time and they try to play it off as being cutesy or funny but his character is actually very mean to her and she just takes it then leaves then comes back; it's not enjoyable to watch them together. Also I know this is a slightly older drama but the mothers line "A man shouldn't put rice in a bowl."... c'mon seriously. No wonder the men couldn't get married apparently they can't even scoop out their own rice.
