Masterpiece
Wow, I just finished watching this and I’m still very emotional. I can’t say enough good things about the cast. Everyone did a fantastic job. That little girl… Duoduo… is intelligent way beyond her years. She stole every scene she was in.The story never got boring. Just when you thought it was going to calm down and be peaceful, it all ramped up again. The things those boys had to go though, the things they were willing to do for each other, and the love they had for each other was off the charts. No kiss? There were plenty of touches, hugs, smiles, innuendos, and even some blunt comments. Putting the “lip balm” on his dad’s lips was hilarious.
In my opinion, this is absolutely a must watch! There had better be a season 2!

Glad I didn’t read the reviews first
I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews ahead of time. A lot are saying this is a waste of time. Everyone’s taste is different. For me, I really enjoyed it. It may have started slow but the second half was interesting and exciting to me.We all love Win but this was my first time seeing Baifern and I just love her. I thought she acted great. Her character started out a little shy and timid but by the end she was taking charge. The chemistry didn’t really appear between her and Win until the end but that’s what the script called for.
Yes, it was another school bullying series but different than I’ve ever seen. Jane did a great job because I hated her so much. Lots of other GMMtv favorites as well.
Give it a try and decide for yourself if it was a waste of time. I say not!

I’ll ride with him anytime
My Lord, where has Fluke been hiding? He is absolutely adorable. Beautiful face, gorgeous smile, and the cutest dimples! Very talented too! I hope to see more of him in future works. This story was very interesting to me. All about difficult relationships in one way or another. But when two people are meant to be together, it will happen. Each episode was so good and filled with all kinds of emotions.
Loved the two uncles and Mork’s nephew, Khai. Really cute episode when they go to an amusement park.
I thoroughly enjoyed this!

A little disappointing
This series was a little disappointing. It started out clever and funny but then it got silly and unbelievable. I could have done without the whole last episode.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
**MAJOR SPOILERS**
She was in love with Sunwoo (Suho of EXO!!) the entire series and was devastated when he died. Then a few days later she was flirting with the detective that she had helped the entire time and had no romantic feelings for whatsoever. It’s like they were thrown together last minute to give it a happy ending. I didn’t buy it.
The killer being the shaman was predictable.

I usually watch all my K-dramas in Korean with English subtitles. I want to hear the actor’s real voice and emotions. For some reason, I watched this one dubbed. The main cast was dubbed pretty well but there were some that just sounded ridiculous. Such as the man who was psychic by touching legs. They gave him a voice like Eeyore when his Korean voice was nothing like that. Made you think he was totally unintelligent. Surprising how a voice can totally change a character.
Overall, it was okay but there are so many other fantastic series that I could have been watching instead.

Strangely Beautiful
This was strangely beautiful. The story of a man who is deeply depressed with his life. He was stabbed after standing up to bullies, he lost his job, couldn’t pay his bills, and his brother was a gangster. He said over and over again that he wished he would have died because he had no reason to live.Enter the Angel (complete with huge white wings). Throughout the series we learn more about Angel and what happened in his life. His story was heartbreaking but we already know he is an Angel.
The two spend time together and fulfilled each other’s needs. Happiness.
There was no intimate or steamy scenes. No kisses. But do we really want to see a sex scene between a grown man and a boy angel?? This was designated as a BL because they absolutely loved each other.
Loved this so much even through the sadness. This should bring hope for people with depression that help can be found in the most unexpected places.

fun and cute
Loved this series. It’s a quick watch with only 8 short episodes. The story was new for me and I found it very interesting and sweet. The whole cast was great. The two male leads were both very cute.
This story really brought out several emotions. It’s hard enough for heterosexual couples to confess their feelings. I just can.t imagine how much harder it would be for two boys. Lesson leaned to not assume anything. Feelings are hard to express.
Loved this and will rewatch for the cuteness.

Give it a Chance
This series started out ridiculous. The gang, the fake fighting, and cheesy lines were all ridiculous. But, good grief, these characters totally grew on me. This is like nothing I have ever seen before.First off, no one can convince me that Bom is almost 30 years old. He looks at least 10 years younger. Tar’s character seemed older to me the way he had confidence and was the aggressor.
But it all worked. The main thing I liked was the overall story. Loved how they showed how even delinquents can turn their lives around.
I will look forward to more work from these guys.

Ended up loving this!
I started this series a long time ago. I was excited because of all the great reviews. I got about a third into it and I just couldn’t take it anymore. One of my biggest pet peeves is people lying and pretending to be someone they aren’t. This started out like that. Then there was so much yelling and screaming from the girls, I dropped it.
I finally went back to it after a few months and I have to say, once the two leads got together, it became a different show. I ended up loving the last half.
Nam Joo Hyuk has been a favorite of mine since Haebek. He was cuter than ever in this. He is such a great comedic actor.
Lee Sung Kyung was so annoying at first with her pursed lips and loud personality. During my break I watched her in Dr. Romantic 2-3 and really liked her. So I gave her another chance. She is very talented.
The two leads were so hilarious together and made a perfect match. I ended up loving this series.

This was bad
I’m sorry, I know some people liked this series but, for me, it was bad. it started out okay but kept getting worse. By episode 11, I was ready to pull my hair out.Fah and Thorn were the worst couple ever. I felt bad for Thorn. He really tried to keep his promises to Fah. When things started to fall apart he tried to communicate with Fah. There was no misunderstanding. Fah was just cold or stupid. He would hardly open his mouth even knowing how much he was hurting Thorn. And the slow speech and even slow body movements were killing me!
I loved Saen and Aii the most. What a breath of fresh air after the continuing torture with Fah and Thorn.
Didn’t really care for Vee and ( I can’t even remember the other one’s name). Could have been good but they were never really together so there was no chemistry.
All in all, didn’t care for this one.

Left me unsatisfied
The story started out great. Lots of potential. The acting was good. But the whole thing spun out of control. Multiple couples were formed and I was never sure who would end up together. Lots of confessions of love but no confirmation. All that being said, no one was together long enough to build any kind of chemistry. The ending was stupid and confusing and it was just the last straw for me not to give this a better review. The whole idea of the King’s game is fun but only if the order is for the duration of the game. It shouldn’t be taken so seriously that it could potentially ruin someone’s life. The ending was just so open ended that it left me very unsatisfied. Was this review helpful to you?
Loved it
After reading some reviews, not every series has to be Oscar-worthy. This just made me happy. The characters in this series were all so cute and sweet. No bullies or fights. Only confrontation was with parents and one jerk boyfriend. But I loved this so much because it had me smiling almost the entire time. Even the emotional moments were sad but beautiful. Plus the OST is so catchy and good that you want to hear it again and again. I never skipped the intro. Also added it to my playlist. So far, I have watched this series twice. It’s definitely a quick pick me up.Was this review helpful to you?
Very enjoyable
First off, it’s been a while since I finished The Eclipse so it took me a minute to remember all the references. First/Khao are just so cute together. I really felt a connection to First and his feelings. I’m a doer as well and it sometimes hurts when actions are not reciprocated. I love that it had just the right amount of story with tender scenes mixed in. I felt so comfortable watching First and Khao together. There was no awkwardness at all between them. Louis and Neo were very sweet too. And, by the way, when did Neo get so handsome and ripped? Wow. The rest of the cast was good as well. Loved the music, especially “their” song. Locations were beautiful. Will probably watch this again. Was this review helpful to you?

This was fantastic
I’m embarrassed to say that I put this one on hold after watching the first couple episodes. One of my biggest dislkes is someone pretending to be something they aren’t. So, once I saw where it was going I put it on hold.I just went back to it and binged watched the rest of the 32 episodes in a few days. This was incredible.
I am now the biggest Yoo Seoung Ho fan on the planet. That man can act! This role required him to: 1) act like a cold and demanding boss, 2) act like someone who is lonely with no social skills, 3) act like a spoiled child, 4) act like a child experiencing happiness for the first time, 5) act like a child being inquisitive and learning new things for the first time, 6) falling in love for the first time, 7) being completely heartbroken, and 8) being intelligent and compassionate.
HIS EYES ARE THE MOST EXPRESSIVE I HAVE EVER SEEN. His crying scenes nearly broke me.
The rest of the cast did a great job too. This is one of the best I have watched.

A little confusing but great
The whole Doom and God storyline was a little confusing. What were they doing? What could they do? Did he have powers? He was driving everywhere but apparently could appear wherever he wanted. It was confusing but not to the point that it made the series less great in my opinion.Park Bo Young is one of my favorite actresses. I thought the chemistry was off the charts with In Guk. The second couple (love triangle) was tense at times but sweet. I think she decided on the right guy.
My favorite character was her brother. My gosh he was super funny and this was needed as I cried my eyes out several times.
it was a big emotional buildup to the last episode and I was ready for a fantastic ending with a beautiful wedding. There was a happy ending but no wedding. I just don’t get why she avoided marrying him. This series needed a wedding and a send off to a honeymoon to make it a really satisfying ending. Not sure why this couldn’t happen since it seems like they were grasping at material. Everyone making kimchi could have been cut for a wedding.
These few things deducted half a point or this would have been a 10!

I liked it
I didn’t know this pop group. But I will listen to their music now. So many reviews have said how bad the acting was but I think they did a great job. I agree, their English was bad. But I thought they pulled it off great using all members of the group in drastically different roles. And, yes, Nine is beautiful.I would have liked at least one episode after their confessions. The ending kind of left me a little unsatisfied. But I enjoyed this short series and was thoroughly entertained.
