Sigh, why did the writer have to do that? Not gonna be back until it finishes and except for the ending of this one, I'm not knowingly gonna watch anything this writer ever writes again.
My problem with this story is that the wife is rewarded for having cheated. In the end, she did not have to put any effort to salvage the relationship but will reap all the benefits from it. Instead, it's the husband who does all the work on it. He never seemed to have been a priority for her the way she is for him, and the ending does not make me confident that has changed or that she will actually put any work into the relationship.
I know some will argue that she did all the housework and raised their kid but those are part of being a family and having a home NOT part of the relationship. Sure family and marriage are intrinsically linked but they are not the same thing and while I agree that she put tons of effort into that part, she did nothing for her marriage other than fake smiling and lying to her husband that everything was fine.
Were they actually together though? From what I see DJ likes him and everyone assumes they'll end up married but…
The problem with that is that it's clear he's been feeling like that for a very long time. During that time he hasn't done anything to dissuade DJ and her family from the notion that they were dating. You can in fact make a good case for him having used them for his own selfish gain and all he's going to repay them with is a weak ass "sorry".

If everyone thinks you're together and you do nothing to dissuade that, then you're together. I really hope they don't put YS and JH together. If they do I'll have to drop this drama and maybe check out the end episode hoping that pos is dead by then (probably be dissapointed).

Know this is a late reply but what do you mean undervalue herself? Hee Tae's the one to recognize her talent! When he was her teacher he tried his best to push her to develop said talent but she's too stubborn to listen and would rather help her sister go to college instead of herself.
And what trap?!? She put herself there on her own will and was too stubborn to let it go. Dialogue shows that they have tried to convince her of letting go of her caretaking of Hee Soo more than once, but she refuses even resorting to manipulation to get her way (she uses the fact they're childless, something she decided on her own to be, to convince Hee Tae to let her continue caring for Hee Soo).
Also, most of the ridiculous comments here don't like Hee Tae, most of them are because he's not the hot dude. They make deluded claims like him not being there for her when he is, she's just not sharing for some reason that he has no control over. My take on that is that Il Ri feels too guilty that when she gained the perfect life her sister-in-law lost hers, so she decides to take on the caretaker role and then feels guilty that caregiving is a hard job for her.

Just from the last couple of episodes: When instead of trying to help Hee Tae and Il Ri get back together (which he would do if he was a good person and truly wanted Il Ri to be happy) when he finally admits to himself that he's second fiddle. Doing it by telling him who Il Ri thought was at her bedside when she woke up. He leaves the chair to be a constant reminder of what happened and lies to Hee Tae about Il Ri leaving with him knowing that Hee Tae most likely won't contact Il Ri to give her the gift. And he's right, had they not met at that intersection Hee Tae probably wouldn't have had any contact with Il Ri until too much time had passed for them to reconcile.
While when Hee Tae finds out the dude is leaving, he makes sure that he and Il Ri get an opportunity to say their goodbyes. Sure Hee Tae and Il Ri had reconciled at that time but he was still willing to risk it if the truth was that Il Ri actually preferred carpenter dude.
