Title Reverse
Ah no!!! not at all ... that would kill the drama. The juice of this drama is to slowly reverse her memory :)…
I totally see your point! The slow unraveling of her memory is definitely a key element.

However, as someone who followed the original 8-episode audio movie that this drama is based on and waited for this with bated breath, I’m looking at it through a slightly different lens.

While I loved the flow of the first two episodes and the tension in episodes 5 and 6, I felt episodes 3 and 4 introduced fillers that didn't necessarily move the plot forward. Even though the director (who is also the writer) mentioned he changed a lot of details, for a 장르물 (thriller/mystery), I still feel the narrative could have been tighter.

Even in a drama that requires an attentive audience, a 장르물 usually hits harder when the pacing is relentless. It's a beautiful project with great leads, I just think some scenes added more length than depth.

I'm excited to see the ending, though!

I haven't watched all eight episodes yet, but this project might have been better if it had been compressed into just two hours. The direction/pacing of this is just way too sluggish.

Many characters appeared in quick succession, and much like Ham Myo-jin (played by Seo Ji-hye), who lost her memory…
Uh, there might have been some misunderstanding. I did say Seo Ji-hye did a great job portraying the character. No hate at all. I'm actually a fan of hers. ^^

I highly recommend watching episode 2!

I just finished Nice to Not Meet You, and honestly, Seo Ji-hye and Kim Ji-hoon were the absolute highlight for me! Their "sweet and sharp" dynamic provided such a necessary anchor of traditional romantic warmth that really grounded the show. Seo Ji-hye was brilliant; she solidified her reputation for playing that "cold" professional shell while still conveying so much deep humanity underneath. And seeing Kim Ji-hoon lean into that "sweet and caring charm" was such a win; he really proved his versatility as a romantic lead after doing so many aggressive roles lately.

My biggest complaint, though? I wanted so much more of them! Their story as exes reconciling within that high-pressure media world felt a bit underdeveloped. It felt like a bit of a waste of potential not to deepen their narrative more, especially since their chemistry was so unmatched. I really wish the writers had given them more screen time to explore those layered emotions rather than just rushing to their "true family" conclusion.

Person Seo Ji Hye
I’m honestly blown away by Seo Ji-hye in Reverse, even with only 2 episodes out. I wasn't sure how she’d pivot to a mystery-thriller, but she’s proving she has incredible range. It feels like she’s finally getting the opportunity to showcase the acting prowess that was perhaps underutilized earlier in her career.

Title Reverse Spoiler
I think actress Seo Ji-hye did a great job portraying Ham Myo-jin’s awkwardness as she feels an emotional distance…
Many characters appeared in quick succession, and much like Ham Myo-jin (played by Seo Ji-hye), who lost her memory in an accident, I felt quite dizzy myself.
I felt that the plot was a bit disjointed in some parts, but I think I’ll need to watch more to see if this was an intentional directing choice to visually represent Ham Myo-jin’s amnesia.

At the beginning of the drama, Ham Myo-jin is involved in a car accident, and there are many scenes showing suspicious details in quite a bit of depth. A character appeared who called Ham Myo-jin a murderer, and it feels like there is a complex family history involved; I’m curious to see if this incident is structured to connect with the villa murder case or if they are separate.

I think actress Seo Ji-hye did a great job portraying Ham Myo-jin’s awkwardness as she feels an emotional distance from Ryu Jun-ho (Go Soo). She is supposed to feel and look it because of the amnesia.
It didn’t give me that "This is a massive hit!" feeling right from episodes 1 and 2, but I have a good feeling about the story's direction. It feels more like an indie film, but the acting is superb so far.
For now, I’ll keep watching next week. ^^

I must have quite an unpopular opinion because I'm really enjoying this one. It feels like I'm reading a book.
OMG I was thinking of the same thing! The pacing, the characters, and the unfolding of each person's background are a lot like reading a novel.

I have read the webnovel, and I am currently waiting for the 2nd season of the webtoon. I agree that the actors' image doesn't match the original. I think this casting is more realistic, which is what the production team is aiming for. ex. A manager is usually around his/her late 30s - early 40s.
I'm just excited about the potential changes in the plot and the chemistry of the cast😊
