Just started this drama and I’m on ep 80 or something. Someone please tell me that Jung Da Jung and Wang Je Guk’s marriage is fake! I’m still shocked and quite confused as to why she decided to marry him. Also, please tell me if she ends up with Yo Han. I don’t mind spoiler. I’m just annoyed that she would make such a dumb decision.
Loved it! Definitely a show that I can rewatch. Ding Yu Xi did an amazing job as always. Fell in love with him since Tiger and Rose. I have always loved his historical drama over his contemporary ones. The historical look matches him so well. Miles Wei, I was not digging his look at all, but he also did such an amazing job! I hated his character to the end, but he did a damn good job with the character.
The comedic timing/relieve was amazing! I laughed, I cry, I fell in love with Li Bing and the gang. What an awesome crew!
Loved how they ended the drama. The ending, to me, was perfect.
I am enjoying this so far, but I got to ask, is Wei Zhe Ming playing a villian? I also can't get over the fact that he's in a historical drama. The look does not match him AT ALL. I loved all of his modern dramas and looks, but I don't know if it's how they dressed him or something, I can't get over the fact that this handsome man does not look good in historical dramas. LOL.
I am not satisfied with the ending at all. I was expecting a Romance of Tiger and Rose ending, but we didn't even get to see Shen Nuo in person!
However, I am satsified with how they ended the game. Uncle Shouren, Aunt Gu and Lian Hua'er deserved everything that they got. They cheated and sold their family members for very little money and they deserve everything that had happened to them. I would even go as far as to say that Xiu'er and the grandma also deserved what happened to Xiu'er. I have no love for them. I may sound heartless, but after everything that they did, that's nothing. Man'er is too nice for me. I'm still fuming that she forgave them and opened her home back to them!! I am glad that everyone (besides the ones mentioned above) got their happy endings.
One of my top favorite c-drama. From the toxicity of the family dynamic, to the corrupt officials, to finding their own happiness. Everything was designed really well. I just wish that they will have more romance. To me, the romance was not really there. It was there, but barely there too.
I love Tian Xi Wei since New Life Begins. She has really good chemistry with her leads. I have watched her other dramas with different leads and I can say that pairing Tian Xi Wei with Joseph Zeng is one of my favorite pairing of hers so far. I really, really, really like her with Wang Xing Yue (First Love) but I will have to bump them to #2. Joseph Zeng really suit her well.
Why am I not surprised that Uncle Shouren sold his sister to the Liu guy? And why am I not surprised that Xiu’er and grandma didn’t believe Man’er? Like, how can you still believe Shouren who had tried to sell Man’er, sold his daughter for his position, stole from the family? How stupid can you be?! Like the saying goes, “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me”. He keeps fooling the family and they all act like he has never done anything wrong. I don’t even feel bad that Xiu’er is going to be a concubine. I would even go as far as to say that she deserves it.
As for Shen Nuo, I hope that he’s doing this so that Boss Wu can trust him and bam, he blows the case wide open and they get their land back. 6 episodes left and I’m still trying to figure out what his role is in the drama/game. I am hoping that it’s like Romance of Tiger and Rose where they meet in real life.
Song Hai Long - I feel so bad for him. He married the wrong Lian girl! He was already an outcast in the Song family and now that he’s married to Lian Hua’er, she’s going to cause him to be more ostracized by his family. I hope that he helps Shen Nuo and Man’er with the case.
Lian Hua’er, Lian Hua’er. Don’t you ever learn?! Why can’t you just be content with what you have?! Instead of fighting against Man’er, you should fight against your mother in law so that your husband can be respected in that family. Your scheming ways will only hurt your husband.
The most satisfying scene is when Uncle Shouren got what he deserve -- a beating from the family. Like what Man'er told Hua'er, he has no one else to blame but himself. He should be grateful that the family did not throw him in jail for selling off Man'er in the beginning and for allowing his own daugther manipulate someone else to cause Man'er's mother to lose her unborn child. He has been given grace over and over again.
As for Hua'er, I feel bad for her beacuse of how her family treated her, but not enough to forgive her for all of the scheming that she had done to Man'er and her family. There was no remorse for what she did. If I was her, I would cut ties with her parents. They literally sold her off the the Song family in the name of "marriage" but that was just to buy his position. Smh. How can she still love them after all of that?!
I am so glad that Man'er "bought" Ye'er's freedom from the toxic family. Hopefully Ye'er can make a living and be happy with 13 and selling/making makeup.
Man'er just can't stop being ridiculous, now she's scolding thirteen and acting all self righteous as if she cares…
She's not acting all self-rigteous in that scene. She is hurt because she really thought that he meant everything he said in the restaurant and when Hua'er showed up and said what she said, Man'er seriously thought that he was just saying those words to trick the owner to selling them the restaurant. She was acting along with him until she started thinking back about their time together. And she also remembered what he told her. So, yes, she is scolding 13, but it wasn't because she was self-righteous. She had already fallen for him and she was hurt by what he told her. You need to remember that he left her and then returned and told her that he needed to finish his business so yes, to her, he was just using her to finish his business and he was going to leave. So, she was not being self-righteous. She was just expressing her hurt.
And she does care about people, even her toxic family members. Despite being sold to the Sun family by her uncle, she still saved Hua'er from death. She worked hard to make a living for her family. She took care of her mother when she lost the baby. She did everything she can to split from the family so that her own family can make money because she knows that no matter what, the money that they made will always belong to the family -- when the grandmother and aunt stole her money. She also helped out Shen Nuo and 13 when they were in the Song family. She sold her peanut recipe so that she can pay off the corrupt officials because of her jealous cousin just so that her parents won't have to worry about her. In the recent episodes, she saved Ye'er from her parents and toxic grandmother.
13 was funny in New Life Begins and he is also funny here. It is good to see him playing a funny character again. So, far this resonates with a lot of Asian families. The dynamic of boys vs girls. Oldest son vs younger son. The need to have a son instead of a daughter. I feel like only so far, Man'er's little family does not discriminate by gender, but the other family members do. It's just a sad reality that even in real life, it's the same among many, many, many Asian families.
Yep, soooo frustrating watching this toxic family. Man'er's dad needs a spine. I get respecting your elders and…
I can’t wait either. But the thing that pissed me off the most is how blind they are! They keep talking about how successful the oldest son is, but he NEVER once showed them how successful he is and yet they still support him. When they found out that he sold his niece to a widow burning should have been the day they kick him out of their home! He’s the reason for their misfortune but yet, they turn a blind eye. The grandma is blaming Man’er’s mom of scheming and stuff, but the only ones who are scheming are the stupid and selfish first son and his family and Lian Xiu’er.
I kept rolling my eyes when they always talk about the Song family and how rich they will be once the oldest son becomes an official. It’s so infuriating. I cannot eait for karma to slap them on the faces!!
I understand the ending is sad in that one important character is no longer here with other characters. If it…
I wouldn't say that it was a sad ending either. It wasn't happy nor was it sad. I feel like it no one won and no one lost. If you know what I mean. 2 out of 4 survived and are living happily and 2 died for a greater cause. So, I wouldn't say that it was a sad ending at all. It was more of like a hopeful ending - where we are feeling a little sad but also feeling like the character is going to be able to move forward and do well after the story ends because it’s not really the end and we're happy about it.
And this is how the story ended. Hu Zi and Qi Xiao Xuan lost two of their greatest friends, but they are able to move forward and do well after the story ended. There is still hope for them and the fortune teller did a wonderful job of giving us that hope at the end. And we do see that they will meet again.
But this goes beyond Hu Zi and Qi Xiao Xuan. At the end, we see that Wu Lidian, Cheng Jinian and many others that were involved in the battle and uncovering the truth of what happened in the valley 500 years ago have also moved on and found peace in knowing that they did something great, despite losing their friends in this battle. So, it's not a lost cause.
So, it's not a total sad story but it's not happy go lucky either. It's hopeful. Hopeful for Hu Zi and Qi Xiao Xuan. Hopeful for every Royal Sorcerors. Hopeful for the people of the three states.
1)is there love triangle? if there how much deep it is ?2)when do leads will be together3)is there any breakup?…
Agree with Vini Bhatt.
There is barely any romance in this drama. They hinted at romance between Hu Zi and Zhao Xin Tong, but it was just a hint. Not much to it. The leads met, I believe in the first two episodes and they have been together since then. As for breakup, since there's no romance, there's really no breakup. The leads do get separated through means of like splitting up to cover more grounds or to find more clues but that is about it.
As for happy ending, like Vini Bhatt said, it's subjective. Do I think it's a happy ending? Sort of. I mean, two of the main four survived and are happy. But I wouldn't really consider it a total happy ending since two of the mian four dead in the valley.
Just got done watching Tiger and Crane where I hated two of the characters and here I am watching this thinking that it'll be a rom-com, but here I am again, hating on the grandma, Lian Xui'er, Lian Shouren, his wife, and Lian Hua'er. Forgot to mention, the grandpa too. How can he be so spinless?! Can I get a break? I'm about to jump into my iPad and give them a good beating!
Just got done watching today’s episodes and it was one hell of a ride. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s. The first 24 episodes was a rollercoaster ride. Some episodes were really good where I didn’t fast forward and then there are some that I had to fast forward to get through, but overall, I have really enjoyed the drama. The four main casts did really well.
The show seems to be picking up now so hopefully there will be more highs than there are lows.
Why are they so many people that I hate in this drama? The sister, Yi Mei, the council elders, Chen something (hate him so much, didn’t even bother to remember his name). I’m at that stage where I’m wishing for their deaths!!
I’m enjoying the drama, but I really can’t stand the sister and Fairy Yi Mei. I don’t mind any spoilers, so can someone tell me when they will die?! I just need them out at this moment. They’re annoying and I am about to reach into my screen and kill them myself.
Can someone tell me what the hell is wrong with the sister?! I get it, she wants to be better than her brother but what the hell. She’s such a pain in the ass. This is the first time I want to reach into the screen and beat the crap out of her.
Also, is Yi Mei fairy evil or not? I can’t decide what she is doing. I want to say that she’s evil, but then I can’t say for sure.
I'm just annoyed & I'm dropping too. Bingyan wasn't even given a chance to meet her rightful groom Tianlei who…
What are so annoyed about? That's the purpose of the drama. She didn't steal identity to riches. They took the wrong veil and she wanted to help Bingyan so she pretended to be her to protect her. I feel like you did not watch the show at all. And of course she's not going to return her husband to Bingyan.
Who is to say that she will have a "better future" with Qi Tian Lei? The reason why the title is "Wrong carriage, Right Groom" is because they are with who they are supposed to be with.
If you watch the drama, for more than however many episodes that you've watched, then you will know that they have explained that the general and Bingyan and Qi Tian Lei and Li Yuhu are with their "RIGHT" spouses.
I mean, if you accidentally married the wrong groom and ends up falling in love with your "husband" are you going to return him to another girl? Also, I doubt Bingyan would want Qi Tian Lei after falling in love with the general.
Make it make sense. No need to get mad for nothing.
I feel that you are bias against Li Yuhu. She's not a fool, like you said. If you were to pay attention, you would know that she's actually very observant. She knew that he wasn't sick as he seemed and she already had a feeling that the grandmother's maid was up to no good. Just because she's not book smart like Du Bingyan, you are calling her a fool.
As for why Qi Tian Lei fell in love with her is because of who she is. She different from him. She's the total opposite of him and he finds that interesting. That's why they say that opposite attracts. She complements him. I'm going to use my husband and I as an example. He's an extrovert who likes adventure and he's spontaneous. I am a bookworm and an introvert. But he helps me get out of my comfort zone and explore the world through his eyes, and I keep him grounded.
The comedic timing/relieve was amazing! I laughed, I cry, I fell in love with Li Bing and the gang. What an awesome crew!
