the romance speculations existed because the lead actors are ATTRACTIVE 😭 that’s why they went viral! koreans WANTED to ship them because they’re ATTRACTIVE! like be serious for one second! everything in the industry boils down to lookism and obsessions with visuals. that was quite LITERALLY my original point. there weren’t ANY romantic promotional materials. it’s not MY problem that YOU ignored my point because i didn’t prove YOUR point at ALL 😭

not really a stretch since i read the whole plot. and like i stated before, the director literally said there’s no romance…? 😭 she was answering the interviewers who kept asking about that because junyoung and joomyung went semi-viral on the korean side. the actors even said there’s no romance in different naver articles.

also, the daughter doesn’t exist in the original source material.

the “family…?” tagline is literally because she doesn’t know that it’s her father in the young man’s body 😭 the “heart fluttering” tension is because she grew up without an active father in her life so she’s surprised to see someone act like that towards her.

it’s very annoying when hordes of people comment on here asking the same exact questions when they can just read the other comments and program information.

she’s not even grabbing his tie, she’s grabbing his collar. since when does an action like that constantly equate to romantic tension? you can grab anyone’s clothing if you’re annoyed with them.

the director said there’s NO romance, but you guys keep claiming this narrative is being pushed when it’s not. it’s not the crew’s fault that most of you refused to read the plot and the tags. if the leads were ugly, you wouldn’t be trying to paint this drama as a romance.

there’s nothing romantic about this.

i hope reborn rookie is his breakthrough as a lead role because that drama is good so far.

but if you’re only referring to romance, then yeah, i hope he gets a good project for that genre. i don’t think billions is the issue since he’s one of the big actors under that agency.

he said he will be leaving this year, but there’s no set date yet. his upcoming drama four hands will finish filming in july, so i assume he’ll enlist after that. i hope he goes at the end of this year, though. i’m not ready to let him go just yet!

the current episodes are GREAT. i’m so tired of review bombers lowering the ratings. this drama should be sitting at an 8.5 at LEAST.

i’m getting a feeling that if the leads were older or not conventionally attractive, then so many of you wouldn’t be constantly commenting “romance or not?” on this page when the tags are right there 🫣

very gripping first episode so far! i hope the whole drama maintains this solid consistency in both plot and characterization. lee junyoung is an AMAZING actor and he NAILED son hyunjoo’s acting style.

exactly. i like san kyung’s works, and every actor in this adaptation is talented. that’s more than enough reason for me to tune in. it’s always “romance romance romance” with these people.

the script for reborn rookie seems promising, so i just have high hopes that it will do well! four hands does have the melodrama themes that more people are fond of, so i hope that drama also does well, but i’m praying for NO love triangle, lol.

my thoughts exactly! this is his second drama ever where he’s first in billing, but to be first in billing with son hyunjoo, jeon hyejin, and jin goo in the same drama as well? i think a lot of trust is being put into his talent and ability to lead, so i truly hope his hard work pays off.

let’s just remain hopeful and not think of any bad outcomes! this drama will replace jtbc’s current weekend drama, which isn’t a bad drama, but it isn’t really connecting with korean audiences right now. i think this drama will do better than that one, at least. moderate success will still be good.

luckily junyoung had a breakthrough with his supporting roles, but yeah, he hasn’t had his breakthrough as a main lead yet. really big companies tend to get all the good scripts sent to them, which is discouraging, but i have high hopes for this project to be junyoung’s breakthrough as a lead.

this cast has many veteran actors and a famous crew behind the scenes. it’s trending on fundex before it’s even out, and the teasers on instagram are getting lots of likes, too. i’m praying for its success, especially because lots of people are connecting its association to reborn rich, which was a super huge hit.

stans of big actors/actresses will never be fairly critical of their faves’ works, unfortunately.
