gonna start my rewatch of this soon since i’m missing junyoung right now 😭 100% his best role and one of the best k-dramas this year! i’m so glad he gained a lot of recognition for his acting through this work.
i just have an honest question. how was the friendship between bioh and jeongyo supposed to be shown in the teaser…
i get the concept of queercoding and whatnot, but i don’t know what tvn is supposed to do about people on the internet who ship men together for simply breathing near each other. skinship is really common in korea, too. bioh and jeongyo are best friends and rivals. this feels no different from a sports anime to me, and nobody ever accuses sports anime of partaking in queerbaiting.
I think this drama is going to be the lowest rated drama, they are queerbaiting from the very beginning,They are…
i just have an honest question. how was the friendship between bioh and jeongyo supposed to be shown in the teaser trailer without anyone thinking they’re gay? “hey bro” “hey dude” or something?
this drama was ALWAYS centered around those two characters and their journeys in becoming accomplished pianists. the articles said that before the teaser promotions even started.
gyuri is third in billing, so her promotions should start soon. even spooky in love promoted eunbin and sejong first before they promoted seongwu, who’s the third billed actor.
i can safely say that this is the BEST drama of 2026. it’s also one of the very few dramas that didn’t lose the plot with bad writing towards the end. i always wish for new dramas to have 16 episodes, but 12 episodes really was the perfect outcome for this drama. 10/10 on the acting, story, and directing for me!
lee junyoung’s clear distinction in tone/speech between hwang junhyeon and chairman kang is so well done! he absolutely BODIED this dual role, and it’s insane to see some people on here try and say otherwise.
I am glad for the ML actor to have a successful ML role but the more I watch this drama, the less I like it. It…
it’s completely in your right to drop a drama if you want to, but i disagree with your points on the relationship and character progression.
we saw chairman kang viewing his youngest daughter as someone who is smart and capable, and he starts to appreciate the little things about her that he missed out on while she was growing up.
we saw the stepmother finally stand up for herself and take authority in her own household. she didn’t want to be treated like a doormat anymore.
we saw some backstory on why the twins act the way they do, with chairman kang showing full regret in shaping them into selfish monsters.
this recent episode was very intense! i’m so excited to see how the story turns in the second half.
also, i just saw junyoung’s letter. i’m very glad this drama is massively successful in korea because i hope this success tells him that so many people will anticipate his return 👍 i’m wishing him all the best, and i hope four hands does well, too!
The writer has perfected pacing and intensity in this drama. While I did enjoy the The Penthouse and Escape Of…
exactly how i feel. hyun jimin is the writer for this drama while kim soonok is only the creator, but i think jimin works closely with soonok since they had the same staff positions for pandora: beneath the paradise.
you can already see how there is such a noticeable improvement in jimin’s writing for this drama. i hope we get this solid consistency for the rest of the episodes!
every episode so far manages to end on a really good cliffhanger that makes you want to come back and tune in for the next episode. as of now, this drama is really solid! it deserves an 8.5 on here, at LEAST.

this discourse feels pointless.
because it really doesn’t exist, so this drama won’t be for you if you’re expecting that.

just a few examples.
