Danshim seemed to think that Lee Hyeon hated her after the investigation, when in reality he still longed for her. She only realized that after Segye told her about his dream. Could it be that you misunderstood the 'hate' part and thought it reflected Danshim's feelings toward Lee Hyeon?

Throughout episode 9, the flashbacks actually led Seori to understand everything and realize that she didn't want to repeat the same mistake. To quote her narration: "I couldn't express my feelings." "I only rubbed the stone like a fool and clenched my fists." Then "It's all over now. No more acting like a fool. I'm done with that." After that, she literally ran off excitedly to see Segye while bringing the medicine she had bought for him herself.
So i'm genuinely confused, because it feels like we watched two completely different dramas. That's why i'm struggling to understand your interpretation of Seori's character
