i was doing some googling and i don't think it's a real drama - everywhere i've seen keeps calling it a 'hypothetical drama' or a 'drama that could've happened' and it seems just to be a short promotional video and photo shoot to promote the golden kamuy manga. i think all there is is the 4:57 minute last episode and the 2:17 minute trailer

first episode feels like im watching a compilation of a couple's moments on yt from a show i've never watched and with a couple i haven't built up any emotional connection to. feels like stuff is just happening in front of me

the cut version for cooking crush that aired on youtube was awful they cut out stuff that actually made the plot and character development make sense. i remember skimming through the cut version of playboyy just bc i was curious how they could still make it 40mins and they kept most of the ncs, maybe cut out the more extreme parts (usually the second half of an nc scene). this one im guessing they only cut the nc like the cut version of love in translation

literally, i already feel like i'm missing context in the uncut version TT i don't know why they keep making cut versions lmao

oh thank u ! yeah i've been getting the vibes from this comment section that its different from the manga (why would they pick a 5 chapter manga to do a 10 episode drama what a strange choice). i wonder how the mangaka feels about this adaptation

im only at ep two but wow this drama is such a mindset shift for me, i dont remember ever getting a drama from the top's pov. i must admit it's hard to get into an insta-love story where the love interest is just a normal office worker from the city. i scrolled through a bit of the first part of the manga and it seems like the usual dynamic where the mc is soga wanting to escape the monotony of his boring office life. i'm still conflicted on whether this drama works for me or not
