There are lots of actors/actresses who never won an award, expecially those in the supporting role.
I wanted to nominate Lee Mi Do but I found out that she won an award for Best Scene Stealer.

I enjoyed it too but for MBC to have just one - two shows worth of an award is really sad.

Poor MBC! To have just one show worth it in 2023!

I talked about this strange situation. I don`t want to talk about Ahn Hye Seop here/ per se. Seriously, I am detached of the results. But it is not logic that in the same category, there are four nominees and three of them are nominated for the Daesang and wins the only one who is not nominated for the grand prize. It has happened before. In 2020 SBS Awards, for exemple. In Daesang nominations were two actresses and one actor who were also nominated in another acting category and did not win. (Other actors won and they were not nominated for the grand prize). Why put them on the Daesang list then?

Yeah... There was a category with two nominees from two dramas that had opposite genre so why not? LOL
I agree that he shoud have received an award. He had a good performance, the drama had high rating.

At least in his category there were all good actors. Park Sung-woong won and I am fine with it.
Probably without that `scandal` Oh Jung Se would have won.

I`ve already decided to not watch My Demon but I am genuinely curious why SBS gave him the award. The ratings for both dramas are somehow similar but there is a buzz about the main actors from My Demon right now and probably that weighed in their decision.

I realised something. The awards for best writing, directing are not there anymore. I wonder why.

Not only that. Han Seok Kyu was nominated for Top Excellence category and at the same time for Daesang too .
I did not understand why My Demon and Trolley were in the same category. Now I wonder what kind of performance did Song Kang in that romantic comedy that received the award aganst two very good actors from Trolley. I did not watch My Demon but I am curious now.
These are SBS awards. They have their reason to give the awards.

Yes. These awards are really the apreciation awards . I wish there were more dramas with quality/good writing though and be a really competition.

I agree. Even if there were some questionable wins at least there were competitiveness. I am watching for the elegant dresses but even the dresses are not that great. A sea of black and white.

`My Dearest` won 9 awards today because it is the only high rating drama of the year for MBC followed by `The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract`.

Exacly. Of course there has to be some categories but they are making these new caterories every year.

They want to give awards to many of their dramas.

I stopped carring for those awards a long time ago. They are just `Thank You Awards` from the network of those dramas that gave them high ratings or buzz.
Just look at the categories. I can see miles away how they thought. We have X, Y, Z dramas with high ratings . How can we give all an award? LOL
How they put Trolley and My Demon in the same category? LOL. Because they have more dramatic dramas with high or decent rating they split the category in miniseries action and seasonal dramas. LOL
They gave 7 awards for the same category (Best New Actors and actress) and multiple split awards.
How come in Top Exellence Award for actor in seasonal drama there are four candidates, three of them are nominated for Daesang and the winner is the only one who is not nominated for Daesang? One won the Daesang as predicted but the other two were put on the list just to make the list with more candidates? Because using my logic, the nomination for the grand prize is for those who were giving a spectacular performance. That mean one of them (who did not win Daesang) should have won the Top Exellence award, right?

So Yeon uploaded a picture on Instagram with a TVING Award for drama Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938. From tvN reply, it seems that it is the Content of the year award (most loved show in TVING in 2023) where they were nominated. That`s cool if it is true.

You can watch only season 2 and it will be fine. But if you like the genre you could watch both seasons. It is up to you.
