Geum Hui wanted to go with her husband see a movie and he made fun of the film because of the title. The Silence of the Lambs was so popular in the `92 when it had the premiere. 🤣
I like how they presented the character`s motivation for entering the business of selling adult product. It was totally believable. For Jung Sook and Young-Bok was poverty but for Ju-Ri and Geum-Hui was not. Ju Ri is the only one who is open to try new things. I am glad Geum Hui became involved because she is a lonely lady. She needs a change in her life also.
i was so happy when her husband cheated, lol good riddance. in my mind i was already plotting ways to get him…
He was a good for nothing husband. I find it more infuriated that he took the money for the rent. His wife is working countless side jobs, takes care of the household and he fights people because they look down on him. Useless.
I also find it funny how Do Hyun`s colleague, the younger police officer is trying to show off. His way of always trying to suppress his new colleague brought out laughter from me. Do Hyun graduated from Police Academy so I think his rank is higher than Seong-Jae , I assume. I guess he acts like a senior to Do Hyun.
If she tries to work it out with her husband I’m gonna be real disappointed—I get that it’s the 90s in South…
The transformation is starting. Perhaps the pressure is high to mentain the family for the kid but Jung Sook won`t forget the betrayal. She will want to be happy too and no way she will find a new self with that husband of hers. He will bring her down and not allow to change. They won't be together in the end.
I just finished the first episode. I really like it too. It looks like the plot is similar with the original but it has a Korean touch. Every actors did a good job. The women have started a beautiful friendship and I like the women who will be against them too. I really felt the countryside vibe. No really big dramatic events but the interactions are what makes this drama fun and interesting to watch. All 75 minutes of this drama flew very quickly. I want to see more.
I laughed so hard at the first sales attempt. 🤣🤣 But not everything was bad. They made the first sales. That`s promising. I liked how Jung Sook returned to those men and asked why a married women can`t be hired at the gas station. She is nice but she has spunk. Seong-Soo, Jung Sook`s husband has an inferior complex. He felt that he is a good for nothing husband, that his wife was too good for him and he is right. He doesn`t deserve her. Sleeping with the wife of his friend was low. And she was supposed to be a friend of Jung Sook. That was the last straw. I can`t wait to see his wife kicking him out. The character is an useless husband but I like Choi Jae-Rim and it is nice to see him in this drama.
I know why Do-Hyun is in this small town but it is nice to see him so different from the others. He doesn`t want to connect with anyone and I will enjoy his transformation. He looked cool driving that jeep with one hand. 😍
I just hope he doesn’t make me want to kill him like his last role in Lies Hidden in My Garden! :)
I just knew Choi Jae Rim will be playing Jeong Suk`s husband before they announced the casting because I saw some of the cast (Kim So Yeon, Yeon Woo Jin, Lee Se Hee and Kim Jung Jin) at his musical theater performance to support him.
I just hope he doesn’t make me want to kill him like his last role in Lies Hidden in My Garden! :)
I watched from the original drama just ep 3 because it was the only one available online. From what I see in the Korean version (from the articles), I think they kept it the major character description. The British series had 6 episodes and the Korean version has 12/14. I assume they will show more about Jeong Suk`s husband and has many flaws but definitely, he is not a person to hate.
I just hope he doesn’t make me want to kill him like his last role in Lies Hidden in My Garden! :)
I really like Choi Jae rim too. In this drama he will play an ordinary man. No evil at all but he will be a kind of pathetic man. He will be a cheating husband and not providing enough money for the family. After the emancipation of his wife, Jong Suk, I don`t see him as a good match for her. I think they will separate in good terms and decide to be just good parents for their son.
Does anyone know whether or not this series will be rated R? This is a serious question, btw...
It is rated +19 but that is just because of the subject. They will show some blurred sex toys, discussions about sex, I assume, but other that that it will be just like any other Kdrama.
They announced Kim Jung Jin as a cast member. I think he will be paired with Lee Se hee`s character. Now they have to confim Choi Jae Rim too, as Han Jung Sook`s husband.
Do Hyun graduated from Police Academy so I think his rank is higher than Seong-Jae , I assume. I guess he acts like a senior to Do Hyun.
