Not just a Fairytale but really a story about two people from diffrent worlds

with their ups and downs in their relationship. Tho Cinderella at 2AM ws sold as a Cinderella farytale it really isn't. The people in this story are real people who go thru hardships and learn to become stronger than that. Yun Seo went thru a lot of pain when she was a child but that made her stronger and even if she seems weak at first, she knows how to fight for what she wants and hold on to the love that she shares with Ju Won.
Ju Won may seem like an easy Chaebol, but he really isn't. He works hard to get what he is. He goes thru trials and turbulations like everyone else. And when his mother becomes the villain in his story, he fights against her to stay with the woman he loves.
In all honestly this was such a feel-good romantic comedy with real characters at the core of it. Not the typical weak prince and princess that we've come to know in fairytales. Every episode made me laugh and love the characters more and more. Sure it had it's cliches like any drama series but for me it was easy to see past the mishaps and enjoy the story. The actors did a veery good job in this and it's clear that both are really good at comedy. The supporting characters Si Won and Mi Jin were really the heart of the series. I loved them from the minute they were introduced as the second couple.
The OST fit perfectly with the story. Esp Feeling Blue and Boyfriend. I'm going to miss this show it was my feel good show every weekend. This is the romantic comedy I like to watch.

Popcorn Drama. Nothing more, nothing less.

I highly debated rating this series 6.0 because the story was a mess from beginning to end and the chemistry just wasn't there for me. Could Yoon and Ton be anymore awkward/uncomfortable together? And man both the kissing scenes and the NC scenes were laughable. But I digress. Ultimately I went with a 6.5 because I realized as much as the story made me scratch my head many many times I didn't hate it as much as I originally thought I would. I found something funny in every episode while that was intentional or not, I had a fun time watching. Unlike Enchante,(the only other series I've rated 6.5) I didn't find the story dreary or any of the characters unlikable. I pretty much enjoyed all of them, esp if I saw them as parodies. The characters often didn't make sense but I could understand as long as I still found the situation funny, which I did. The cast did the best they could even if I felt all of them could have done better: Yoon: cough.

There were times I felt like I was watching a Mexican Telenovela which again ramped UN up in the entertainment value. And that's why I call this a popcorn drama. It's mindless entertainment set to make people have a good time, forget troubles and despite it's flaws Unforgotten Night did that. I'm gonna miss this chaos for that reason. Now what am I gonna watch to laugh at? And enjoy? I guess time will tell.

I hope Unforgoten Night serves as a sample of what not to do in a series, while not as bad as Check Out it could have been so much better. The production really dropped the ball on this one.

A wonderful journey of youth, friendship and love

Every time I watched an episode I couldn't help and remember my teen years. Everything about this series was realistic the characters, the setting, the friendships, the mistakes made when you are that age. The ups and downs you face as you grow up. We saw all this with Tian and Wang as they navigated this world to find their place and find each other. The bond that they share is way more than just romantic bond, it's a soulmate one. And no time, no place or event can break that. That's how I know these two will be fine in the future. Especially since Tian didn't lose hope that he can be with Wang again. Isn't that what love is??? having the hope and courage to face everything and anything to be with the person you love? I say yes! That felt really real to me. The On1y one was very realistic, and I think that's what made us fall in love with it. We just want these characters to get the sense of happiness because they deserve it.
Tian and Wang are such well-rounded characters. The mistakes made by them reminded me of some I did at that age. Wang's mostly when he decided to cut himself off from Tian for fear of his feelings. The supporting characters were all so likable too. Who didn't have friends like those in high school? The OST fit the series so well too. Every time I heard 17, I run to You... I got goosebumps- such a beautiful song! Perfect for Tian and Wang's love story too. About that I saw someone say that this series is more than just romance and it is. It's life. I think that's why it resonated so well with me. Although the ending wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, I understood why it was done. Wang's decision as stupid as it was felt real to me. As did Tian's will not to give up. The moment he ties his bracelet back together I got the sense of the hope the director wanted us to have. I'll keep hoping The On1y one gets it's second season because the series deserves it.

Felt like I was watching Star in My Mind 2

but with much better communication between Joke and Zo. At least they're problems they were able to fix quicker by actually talking to each other unlike Kluen and Dao. Still the story is basically the same: two college students, one has a one side crush on the other at first, there's a girl heavily involved: rinse, recycle, repeat. I only liked it a little more than SIMM because the characters are way more mature emotionally, esp Joke. At least in this one I didn't want to tear my hair out with any arguments the characters may have had etc. Other than that, it's essentially the same story. Dunk's acting is still stiff, and I still have to feel any chemistry between JoongDunk that's not forced. I hate those forced, cliche, chemistry moments and there was ton here. As for rewatch value: I'll probably rewatch when I'm bored or don't have anything else to watch.

Different and compelling even if the ending

is heartbreaking but to me it made sense and was realistic. The story was interesting and different and I like how certain countries are moving away from traditional BL's. South Korea was one of the first to do this. The writing may not have been the best, but I give them huge credit. I liked the idea that past trauma led by guilt can be ket go off if you get a second chance with a loved one. I also like that even if the story is heartbreaking there's still that light of hope that things can and will get better. As it is the norm with time travel stories. Well with any kind of stories that is.

I think the best thing about the series was the acting since there's still room for improvement when it comes to wfriting, plot and certain themes. But back to the acting Lee Hyun Yun and Moon Yi Yong gave incredible performances. Seriously, the emotion that both LHY & MYY portrayed was top notch to the point that I cried with them. I had never seen them before but I'll say that both are extremely talented. BRAVO!

The OST was also beautiful. Great choices made by the production team

Overall I give this series a 7.5 out of 10. Like I said more room for improvement but still enjoyable due to the acting.

Cute but I wish it wouldn't have been cut in half.

I liked the acting and the story. But I also felt like a lot of the plot was rushed and when I found out that the episode count went from 8 down to 4 episodes it made sense. I felt like a lot of buildup was cut because of that and some of the essence was lost. Still, I think the writers managed to keep the gist of the story despite that. And I felt like it delt with real problems teenagers deal with when coming to terms with themselves and their sexuality. Ther acting by the main actors was good and they had good chemistry. But I wish the producers would have respected them and the rest of the crew more. Still cute little story about first love, parents' acceptance and finding yourself & love when you are not looking for it.

Overall, I give it a 7.0 because I feel like this series could have given more.
