I think people expected something more along the lines of Provoke, but on a bigger scale. And it's definitely not that.

I read the novel, sincerely hope they don’t follow it, most annoying stupid fl ever
I'd say the fl is rather typical for the genre, so I'm afraid the annoying character traits will stay. If not for them, the plot wouldn't have happened in the first place.
