You do understand what love language is, right? That has nothing to do with the other person being or not being your romantic love interest. It's relevant to all relationships, including friendships.

I think it was Sun's sass when he threw money at him in the first episode. It probably reminded him of the bunny and then it was more of a "oh, you're interesting" sort of thing. I'd say he was hooked way before he actually found the bunny. 😂

Whenever I see a disturbing scene like this, I always think about that one Sherlock quote: "if you can imagine it, someone is probably doing it somewhere." 😑

It's really fascinating when two touchy-feely people (who probably have physical touch as a love language) get matched into a work couple. I watched some of their reaction videos and their hand chemistry was insane. I always joke that Joong is a koala bear, permanently attached to Dunk... but ToptapMinlee is on a whole different level.

Now that the series is finished, what is your opinion on the forced kiss scene (end of ep 3, beginning of ep 4)? Whose POV do you think it was? Also wonder what the original manhwa readers think.

Personally, I always thought that it was Jay's POV, since the man was hounding Sun pretty much the entire series and the forcefulness fits that... but I can see how it could be from Sun's POV, foreshadowing that Sun is suppressing his desire for Jay and that he will eventually give in. Alternatively, it could be a shared fantasy, end of ep 3 from Jay's POV (pure forcefulness) and beginning of ep 4 from Sun's POV (suppressed desire with a touch of Sun's... "dry sass").

I feel like these fantasies and fetishes (inside and outside of bedroom) are one of those taboo topics that people just don't talk about and are uncomfortable with. Personally, I've never had issues distinguishing between fiction and reality, then again, I've been gaming since I was a small child. I know that killing people in a PC game does not mean I want to kill people in real life. I always laugh at anyone who suggest that gamers are aggressive. I physically suffer when I see fruit flies slowly dying glued to those sticky traps, no way am I running around and harming anyone in real life.

I've also been lucky to have friends that are into bdsm so I've had an opportunity to experience that kind of environment. I don't consider myself a part of that community but let me tell you, they were very much firm on the whole "safe, sane and consensual" thing but could get pretty freaky at the same time. Real eye-opener, I think.

Without knowing the author and their actual behavior IRL, speculating on this topic is wild and completely unnecessary, only creating drama where it's not needed. Some people just like the genre and/or have this fetish/fantasy. I personally started with western MM reading noncon and dubcon novels. Stuck to those for a long long time too and yes, I enjoyed them quite a lot before I moved to a different genre. People need to learn to distinguish fantasy and reality. Sometimes people enjoy, for whatever reason, things that are unacceptable in real life as long as it's done in a controlled environment where no one is actually harmed. I'm pretty sure I came across at least one study that claimed that over 60 % (!) of women has had r*pe fantasies. Do those women want to SA someone or get assaulted in real life? Probably not.

Now if there was actual evidence that would suggest problematic behavior IRL, that's a completely different story and should be called out (the writers from KinnPorsche being excessively touchy-feely with the actors come to mind).

So interesting. The more episodes I watched, the more convinced I was that it was actually Jay's imagination, not Sun's. But yeah, for all his fighting skills, Sun's strength left him whenever Jay touched him. 😅 I always saw Sun as repressing himself to punish himself, while Jay slowly breaking down his walls and revealing that Sun actually wants him too (and then being amused by it). Sun had such a great character building.

I just answered someone who was asking if this was worth watching. I mean, it really depends what you expect from it. I will happily eat some popcorn too and be entertained by all this silliness. If I wanted something quality, I'd reach out and watch Payback or something like that.

That depends on what you expect from it. I finished Payback yesterday and have one episode of Peach and Me left to watch. I enjoy all three series for different reasons.

You can't expect too much from a series like Knot or take it too seriously. It seems to feel the need to establish the world by shoving a lot of information down our throats (but to be fair, not everyone is a shifter/omegaverse book reader like I am so I guess it's a good thing?) and there is limited plot (because omegaverse - usually, there are heats, there is sex and some kind of generic plot to sort of glue it all together). You will probably either love this or think it's cringy trash. Try the first episode and see for yourself. You can always drop it and move to something else if it's a miss for you.

Just finished watching the last episode. Loved it so much from beginning to the end. Now all I need to be completely happy is one special episode covering the extra manhwa chapters. 😍 And the instrumental versions of the intro song, there were at least two (happy and sad versions).

The whole "I've always liked women but now I met my soulmate... and for some reason he happens to be a man, whoops" is a pretty common theme in the gay shifter/omegaverse books I've read in the past so it didn't surprise me in the least. 😅

Me too. That being said, as someone who has read enough shifter/omegaverse books, I knew exactly what I was getting into... and I am quite enjoying what I got. 😅

I read enough gay and hetero shifter/omegaverse book series to say so far this tv adaptation is perfectly spot on, including the dubious consent thing. You either like this genre... or you don't. 😅

It's really great. Has some mature themes like death of a loved one, grief, guilt and abuse in the entertainment industry. Sun's character development is superb. The revenge plot is imho not as intentionally active as I would hope but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Both NC scenes so far are VERY memorable.

I mean, I remember Joong talking in BTS about how he got turned on during the scene when Dunk was (just) kissing his lower stomach in The Heart Killers... So I think if you stimulate the right sensitive areas or you rub your crotch against someone (barrier or no barrier), especially if you're young and hormonal... you will get turned on to some degree even if the person in front of you doesn't push your buttons because they're the wrong gender. Then again, I'm not a man so what do I know. 😅

On the other hand, I saw enough interviews with actors (in gay and heterosexual series) who did say that shooting NC scenes is not romantic or arousing at all because it's pretty much scripted with focus on angles, lighting, acting and actually selling the scene. +there are too many people lurking around... I also saw a video from an intimacy coach how you can pretty much fake chemistry even if there is literally none so you definitely can do a lot with very little if you want.

That being said, I think there are lot more gay and especially bi people running around than we might think. I saw some surveys that mentioned anywhere between 5-10 % of population and that's based on people's willingness to self-identify. So yeah, I think some of them are gay/bi, some of them are dipping their toes in bi waters Deep In-style with their co-stars (within their ships due to the forced proximity or outside of their ships because workplace romance) and I think some of these pairings are dating IRL. Not that it's my business. I can have opinions on specific pairings... but their business is not my business.

But yeah, I would love to see some documentary on workshops... because with some pairings, the chemistry is insane and if we talk statistics, it's very probable those two people are not attracted to the same gender, yet they sell their chemistry very well.

Obviously there was some kind of frontal modesty pouch (with or without additional barrier layer) or whatever intimacy coordinators call these socks, lol. Super interesting stuff actually. The actors sure do look fully naked in these types of scenes but they're usually not.

I just realized that the very first and very last scene of episode 8 are similar in terms of positioning of bodies (corner of the bed). Such great contrasting scenes. It really shows how Sun could have ended up if he met anyone else in that kind of environment rather than Jay.

Omg. I can't unsee this. 🤯 They sure were not just pretending to do those movements but were all in. Good for them, not many actors have a good NC scene that is actually memorable. 💗 Anyway... I think I will go rewatch Top Form. 😄
