The best BL on the planet.

As someone who identifies as LGBTQ+ this BL touches on so many important topics and I absolutely love it. Not only do they speak about marriage equality within Thailand and abroad, but they also touch on consent, which even straight dramas hardly ever do and I have watched many of those. They also touch on boundaries and how even close friends don't need to know everything that is going on in another's relationship and how teasing in public can be crossing a line which I found so important. Another thing that they touch on is how important clear communication in a relationship is and how if someone truly loves someone else, they will love all of them no matter their interests.

Also....it's called Cutie Pie for a reason. There are a lot of cute scenes and Nu-Kuea pretending to be someone he's not while with Hia Lian but it's so funny, especially when he ropes in his friends to help sell his acting...that scene will forever be the funniest scene in BL drama history.

AND THE CHEMISTRY! The chemistry between every single couple on this show is so good, but especially between Zee and NuNew who play the main couple Lian and Kuea. When I say off the charts I mean that those two obliterated the thing. I also need a full drama with Max and Nat as the main couple. Their chemistry also is off the charts (and as they have been working together for the passed 3 years I am not surprised).

Anyway, I'll leave it off here. All I'm gonna say is to not pay attention to the haters. I have done that before and almost didn't watch some of my favourite dramas, Thai and Korean, BL and straight.

Definitely worth a watch.

It took me a second try to watch this as with the first attempt I stopped halfway through the first episode. Lee Min Ho's character Kim Tan has a friend in America which was acted just waaaaay too over the top but he's only in it for the first 4 episodes thank the gods. Besides that I did like everything else so I retried it and I definitely do not regret it.

It was well paced, the ending was nice and long (I hate endings where the couple gets together within the last 10 minutes and then we only have a little time to wrap everything up) and definitely a very fluffy ending. Lee Min Ho did amazing as Kim Tan, Park Shin Hye as Cha Eun Sang was gorgeous, Kim Woo Bin as Choi Yeong Do was the perfect bully turned good guy I have ever seen (and was perfect with second lead syndrome) and Park Hyung Shik was adorable as always. The rest of the cast was amazing as well. They all had amazing chemistry together and you could tell that they definitely had fun while filming. I will most definitely be rewatching this in the future.

The Perfect Everyday Kdrama.

I watched this after trying to watch Something In The Rain without knowing that it was the same director and I can definitively tell you that One Spring Night is much better. There are not as many scenes that drag on uselessly (walking down the street, eating, things like that) and useless conversation. The flow of the show, the character development, the acting was all wonderful. All of the actors were terrific in this drama. Eun-u was so adorable. Every scene with him in it made me melt. Definitely worth a watch if you're looking for something with not a whole lot going on and easier to relate with but also something that doesn't drag on. I probably won't go seeking clips of it online or rewatch it right away like I did with many of the other dramas that I watched, but maybe in the future if I'm watching a really heavy drama like Itaewon Class or Goblin I'll turn this one on as a palate cleanser.
