Someone please tell me if I should watch this one or the original Japanese version π
I suggest you watch both and compare because the differences between the versions are fascinating. The Japanese adaptation is very short and fast to watch
I agree with everything you said but especially your points about eps 8 and 12 which sank Achi's character for me. He did nothing to protect Karan from being humiliated by the client plus taking the scene with Karan's mother away from him destroyed the show's last chance to show Achi fighting for the relationship. Awful.
I wanted to ask about the scene 5 years ago, before 2ML ran to the US - when his boyfriend was beaten. Who hurt…
Some people thought the boyfriend harmed himself because he found out about the arranged marriage but given the bruises and cuts on his face I doubt it was self harm. I guess we'll learn more as the drama goes along
I don't like Dohan even though I have sympathy for him. His boyfriend got beaten up, presumably by someone connected to his family, and he ran away? And now he's dragging his friend into a situation where there's a good chance she's going to get chewed up by his wealthy and powerful family. His behavior is incredibly selfish.
Aside from Dohan being gay this is a pretty standard chaebol succession plot and even though I really like all of the actors I'm not finding it terribly interesting. I'm not sure I'm continuing this one.
I watched this along with SOTUS and I have to say I enjoyed SOTUS way more. Pete is such a red flag, he's controlling, violent and irrational. Jealous of a high school boy, are you serious? If you really think your boyfriend is involved with a minor tell the kid's father or call the school authorities. Another thing that bothered me is Kao looked low key scared of Pete. At least in SOTUS Kongpob is never scared of Arthit even during the worst of the bullying. I only made it through this for Sun/Mork but even they were kind of a mess with Sun acting more like an uncle than a lover.
I've been super critical of this version but no snark at all for episode 11, it was freaking adorable and I just wish the whole drama had been at this quality level. Achi was so much less annoying once he became a responsible adult. The skinship was chef's kiss. The side couples were cute, my only complaint is we didn't get enough time with them.
I loved Jinta so much in this episode, he and Min are much better in this version than the Japanese adaptation where the couple was creepy. Jinta was so funny when he struggled with his jealousy but then the way he supported Min and comforted him after the dance competition was too sweet. Tbh I'm much more into them than I am the main couple.
I'm also enjoying Rock a lot (his scream of WHAT THE FUCK sent meeeeee) but I wish they'd move the romance faster (if there will be a romance, I think Pai might turn him down).
I may get some hate for this but if I told my boyfriend not to visit me and then found out he was sitting in his car outside my house every night I'd be, um, concerned. I don't find this romantic.
