Take away the useless villains. Take away the useless chaebol shit. Take away the pathetic petty side drama about…
THIS! Or if you must have a present day villain, then have him be the reincarnation of the king who suddenly remembers the past and becomes obsessed with controlling Seo-ri and getting rid of Se-gye
The drama never explicitly explains what's happening. I don't think the reincarnation theory is proved or disproved.…
For me the drama was hard carried by the talent of the actors. If it had a different cast the writing weaknesses would've stood out even more. But I don't regret watching it, the chemistry between the leads alone made it so much fun.
I loved this drama so much up until the 10th episode, but now I don't feel like watching the last two episodes.…
The ending is really confusing but here's my best shot at explaining what happened: Mun Do arranges for Cha Se Gye to get stabbed in a parking lot, he's close to death, the comet is starting to disappear and then the shaman lady from Joseon possesses the current shaman and tells Seo-ri she has to return to Joseon to save the grand prince because that will break the chain of fate and save CSG as well. She goes back, saves him from drinking poison then takes an arrow for him before they both go off a cliff. She comes back to the present and is reunited with CSG who survives the stabbing and then takes down Mun-do and sends him to prison. Meanwhile in Joseon we see Dan-shim and the Grand Prince disguised as peasants and escaping the city to be together. Oh and the grandmother dies and there's a long fantasy sequence with Seo-ri and grandma stealing a bus and driving to the beach together.
It's really unclear if Dan-shim and Seo-ri are two separate people or if Seo-ri is the reincarnation of Dan-shim. It never gets explained.
There's other things that happen in there but that's the main gist, at least as I remember it. Tbh, it was so convoluted that I don't know if I'm missing anything.
Hmm... I had this wild theory when 4 or 6 episodes were out that Seo Ri and Dan Shim had switched place in their…
The drama never explicitly explains what's happening. I don't think the reincarnation theory is proved or disproved. You really can't tell from what we were shown. And that's not a problem with your theorizing. It's bad, sloppy writing.
I enjoyed this drama a lot more than I thought I would. The final episode left me with more questions than answers…
I had the same reaction, why would the Grand Prince end up with Dan-shim when the person he was in love with was Seo-ri? That's not really the best happy ever after if two strangers somehow randomly end up together and maybe one of them is only doing it because he's in love with someone who looks exactly like her.
Another thing I thought of: we never saw the dog again and the connection between Seo-ri's manager and the dog was teased but then dropped. We also never saw the romance really unfold between him and Ji Hyo. So annoying!
We’ll buy into just about anything as long as we get a happy ending with a few kisses. The chemistry between…
This for sure was hard carried by the fantastic cast. There were so many unanswered questions in the end like who the hell was the Joseon shaman and why did she have so much power? Also the differences between Seo-ri and Dam-shin were inconsistent, like they both ended up feisty in the end but how?
It isn't close to the worst ending I've ever seen but it could have been so much better with just a few tweaks. I mean I can't say it's bad but it just felt a little flat after the enjoyable first half.
I don't understand why they crammed so much plot into the last episode, they could have started all these arcs halfway through and given them time to breathe. I wanted to see more development in the Joseon era and also a little more explanation for the magic because I don't understand why she got caught in limbo
ETA: I would have loved to see more development of the relationship between Seo-ri's manager and the actress, it was super cute but all we got was a couple of throwaway scenes in the last episode.
This is a light romcom but it's fair to criticize it for failing to execute some elements well. There's a lot of romcoms I love that had a few problems but still felt good from beginning to end, like My Lovely Sam Soon (referenced in MRN!), Her Private Life, Dali and Cocky Prince, My Sweet Mobster, Fated to Love You (though that one has some heavy melodrama), Hogu's Love, Coffee Prince, etc etc.
I've been enjoying My Royal Nemesis a lot but the last two episodes felt pointless and we lost a lot of what made the drama enjoyable in the first place which was the acting and great chemistry between the leads. Instead we got scenes that felt pointless and made the ML seem a bit stupid, plus a lot of dangling plot threads.
I hope they bring it back around in the last two episodes but even if they don't I'm still glad I watched because it's Heo Nam Jun's breakout role and he earned the attention he's getting with sheer charisma and acting talent (obviously his body doesn't hurt either). Im Ji Yeon has had lead roles before but she's really funny in this and it will boost her career too.

He was a villain in Money Flower, his character was a terrible person but also weirdly sympathetic
Hot Men of this Drama - the protagonist, the antagonist and the DOCTOR!!! ❤️Okay, I knew and loved the fact…
Omg I didn't recognize him because he didn't have that sad ponytail he had in Trauma Code 😂 but I like him and would definitely like to see him in more prominent roles. He does have a great voice!
i binged and caught up to this drama in 2 days and it has been a ROLLERCOASTER honestly. i'm not yet entirely…
I have a lot of problems with the writing in the last two episodes but I don't regret watching the drama. The actors are fantastic and I'm glad to see them both earning more popularity because they deserve it.
They've already contradicted themselves re: the comet and other things. I mentioned yesterday they aren't really…
I really hope that the actors get their flowers in the end anyway because the writing is a mess but the performances are what sold me on this and that's unusual because usually I'm a writing-first viewer.
He was also the 2ML in Money Flower and he's so good in it as a villain you can't help feel sorry for: https://www.tiktok.com/@dramamrama/video/7247918609312386310
