Yes, so excited to see that.

I found this drama very uncomfortable to watch. The acting was - mostly - very good, but you have to accept a lot of dodgy crap to make it 'romantic'. The main issues I had were:
- The ML is responsible, at least in part, for the 2ML(the FL’s fiancé) unjust imprisonment;
- Th emotion that the ML shows over his jilting by the 2FL is far stronger than anything he shows towards the FL; his feeling towards the latter seems to be mostly compassion/pity; and
- The FL gloms onto the ML in a really uncomfortable way – her persistence and his lack of – apparent – interest makes this seem more about neediness than love.
But, the saving grace was the secondary characters, particularly the drunk sister, the bonkers lawyer friend, the ducklings.

This has a distinct Money Flower vibe about it.

The female lead appears to be a toddler with emphysema who you fully expect to start drooling at any second. That made it a hard watch for me - though I was prepared for the wafer-thin plot and poor acting.

I want to be able to give this more than a 10. It's simply perfect in every way.

It's a form of 'feminism' (though I don't recognise it as such) to think of all women as thick children incapable of agency and all men as clever, manipulative Svengali characters.

Even in the west big corporations sometimes pay off employees who have been sexually harassed, sexually assaulted, assaulted etc with NDAs and the like, rather than deal with the assailant. I have direct knowledge of at least two cases - in one the employer was public sector.

I love all the side characters, too - particularly the mad actress, brother and sister, vet and the concierge who can't speak Korean properly . . .

It's not so much that it's very, very frequently portrayed (I'm from England, we drink too much here, too) but that being blackout, vomiting drunk is so frequently romanticized in Korean dramas, particularly if the protagonist is a woman. It seems to be thought of as cute, funny and sexy - and, of course, the Korean men who have to carry such women home are always perfect gentlemen.

I agree. Lazy, cliched writing to only be able to think in tropes.

Great cast. Let's hope the writer and director bring it.

I couldn't enjoy/appreciate this because I couldn't get over the cheap, ill-fitting Halloween wig. What the hell was the stylist thinking? It was like watching a film where someone has a big blue nose, that nobody ever mentions.

Echoing what you said, some kings of the period weren't even literate. And kept that way, intentionally, by the clans who wanted to control them.

I haven't seen 365:RTY but all the rest are among the best of the best. Great list.
