One of the reasons why I like to read the comments is to see how people see Joe and Ming's characters differently. They're so complex that the opinions literally clash after every episode. As a no saint myself, I can relate to both in different aspects.
I also joke that Mingie is a bitch but at least he's an honest bitch, which is quite rare these days. He's not going around fooling Joe, he is just this kind of person. It looks like he's never been loved so he treats every affection towards him with an ownership, an obsession. I cannot blame him for that, he just doesn't know any better.
Joe, an orphan, who tries to make ends meet is sacrificing himself every opportunity he's given, again for love. This time, it's a motherly love. People who never struggled financially probably won't understand him but one thing that it's left in these situations is your dignity, therefore he will never borrow Sol or Wut's money.
Overall, the characters' writing is an absolute perfection in this novel/series. They live in two completely different worlds yet they somehow managed to meet.

I've been begging since the beginning of the series but it is what it is. Even though I don't read the spoiler tags, I still have 15 people blocked because of this series. I have an idea how this show might end but I really don't want to know now. Navigating through the comments and avoiding spoilers is harder than Joe avoiding Ming. π
