Whatever decision you make, you must like the self who made that decision!
This series started with me smiling and it's the first bl themed series I've watched that kept that smile and giggle till the end! There was no drama just to add drama, it was just a story about two different individuals who fall hopelessly and beautifully in love. And as a person who has never experienced such, mostly that awkwardness and cuteness oh! I can now say with one heart that I have lived and I have felt that mysterious and beautiful thing called LOVE.
The giddiness that comes with venturing the dating waters, the shyness towards the other party, the happiness.. I swear when Kurosawa "proposed" to Adachi, I too gasped and was happy and surprised as though it was meeeee who Kurosawa proposed to.
And the friends!!!!!!! They were supportive, caring and cheering of each other and their achievements. Such moments just made me tear up , mostly at what they did to support Adachi and Kurosawa with the fire wax. I hope they get all that they deserve and moreeeeee.
ooooooooooh *smiling, giglinggggg* before I FORGETTTT!!! That least scene, that elevator scene, that just kept my eyes glued to the screen and my head inching CLOSER and CLOSER to the screen *screammmmmmm* kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ...
Just watch it y'all

The first modern day c-drama I've loved
Pleasantly surprised. I've had a hate relationship with modern day cdramas, so I didn't expect to love this. It's the first modern day cdrama I've rated above 6Positives
What hooked me?
The plot and the acting (chef's kiss if I may say)
I found myself shocked when some truths were unveiled, making up my own theories, emphasising with some of the characters and generally enjoying it. Plus for romance lovers, it did have a lil hint of romance though not much but enough to keep you sorted. All in all, I loved it.
Negatives
I found some plot details too hyperboled though. Like one or two.

Sunset fades away
It's been days since I finished watching this and I still find my self thinking about it from time to time..
ACTING
First, the more than stellar acting from the cast especially the 3 leads. I was in awe of how I could seamlessly differentiate between the different characters that they represented! ALICE KE(Huang Yu Xuan | Chen Yun Ru) stood out the most, she just oh God!!!!!! I am out of words. Her acting wooed me to the point that I am g going to check out her past works plus be on the look out for her future projects. She truly embodied both characters and gave them different mannerisms , it was perfect.
MUSIC
hahaha I still have the soundtrack on repeat!!!! My favorite song from the ost is Come Away. I even remember the scene and episode where I first heard the song(or the moment I fell in love with it).. ep 2, the confession on the motorbike ahhhhhh*screams* the emotions aahhhhh*flies and forgets to return* I love me some awkward and angst moments.
Honestly this sound track is among my top 2 osts. I am reluctant to place it above TMOPB(cause it was my first love) maybe this sound track will be my forever love (we'll see)
oh oh before I forget my silly ass kinda believes(15%) that listening to one dance will take me to the past. My double ganger just hasn't made that wish yet, or I don't have one *drowns in tears of pity* lol
STORY
Lord only knows how this story gave me a headache(the good kind *wink*). I have never used my brain while watching a drama as much as I used it while watching this one (that's just cause I really wanted to come up with theories and predictions, and I loved every moment of it). I just wish I could forget it all and re watch it and have gasps of shock, moments of silence due to the suspense, increased heartbeats because of the tension and anticipation. OHHHHHH I miss that!!!!!
The story was fast paced, I liked that. It was beautiful though one episode just didn't meet my expectations. All in all, watch it y'all.
Ran away with me and escape into the reality of some day or one day

Will I ever move on from this masterpiece? No, I won't EVER!!
Finally a story that got my heart racing to watch the next episode, ranting to my family members(bless them), pausing out of frustration due to some characters, and smiling foolishly to some scenes And that's how I know I have found a gem. Living and being entranced so wholly into a plot, a scene, a character and their life.Words cannot express how good this drama is. Just watch it and see. The plot, the acting, the osts, everything was at peak perfection. Characters that had my full support (I was ready to die for Jing), others that had my sympathy (the nine headed demon) and some who I understood their choices but just couldn't get myself to love them.
Not to add the endless pieces of advice got. Living a life only you have control over. Is it worth it, betting your hope of happiness in someone else's hands? If you live life with no expectations, you won't get disappointed. But won't that steal the joy of those little moments in life that we experience due to hope etc.
AND Seriously if you are a sucker for enduring love, love that you only see once in a lifetime, the we'll live and die together type of love(I'm among those who live for such stories), this is a gem for you. Plus there is more for those who love a mix, political intrigue, high stakes on line, loyalty, weighing the gains etc.

A nice sweet quick watch
It was nice and also thoughtful. Most times words are thrown out and people disregard them with excuses such as they are too young to understand etc . But words do have consequences.I related to the male lead, that cycle of wanting so much to be liked and working for it. This drama taught me, you shouldn't always prove to people/work so hard for affirmation. Watching it from an onlookers perspective, you could see how emotionally draining and empty it is.
The acting was good too. Overall it was a nice
soft emotional watch, with life lessons sprinkled in there.

A pleasant surprise
I went into this drama expecting nothing. I didn't even read the synopsis and I landed on a gold mine!!Does this mean there are other good and moving dramas I have slept on and ignored?? I weep at that thought.
A drama that made me long for such a pure and young romance. Made me long to be in love, and be loved. That feeling of a first love, of sleepless nights, of long night conversations, of shy looks at each other, of the uncertainty on whether he loved me or not, of selfless love acts. In conclusion, I was smiling continuously with googly eyes glued to the screen, and my hands were either touching my face and awing(making all sorts of awwwwww expressions)or my heart because! BECAUSE!!!!, it was too much and sometimes too little.
This drama is and will always be my special sugar jar to open when I need something sweet in my life. I foresee a future of rewatchs! My special place in drama land.
It was raw and the acting was as realistic as it could get. I really believed it when they said the fl could pass as a boy. Her makeup, her fashion and what she would do, was trully believable (not like the usual elephant in the room, where we all know she does not look like a boy but we just have to close our eyes and believe).
I did not know kdramas were produced like this. Maybe this was common in dramas back then. Where you believe wholeheartedly in what you are seeing, it does not look scripted , the actions, the reactions, the set up. It looked like the real world and I ate it all up.
I loved the relations between all the characters and I found myself stary eyed at Kim Jae Wook's character. I loved that each character had their own story and goals they aspired to and not just an add on onto the main characters' lives. Each character had their lives to move about and their own stories and their own actions outside the main characters' love story.
I am grateful to that random user I saw praising Coffee Prince in the feeds and in turn prompted me to check it out. This drama will forever be my never-never land.
