It was because of the snake spirit who needed his powers at that time to help recover his lover, that she stopped.

And not only the sebashi monster, even in the village the first time the full moon incident happened she helped him relieve his pain when she could have easily beaten him up for forcefully biting her. Girl even got rid of the bully relatives .

During the arena fight, he won because she guided him well. After that got his spiritual token back so as to free him.

And even at that time when suying captured TY, she stalled the time by distracting her which ultimately led to them getting the horns back.

There are many instances in the drama where she truly acted as his protector. He only helped her open her mind eye but she was always at the front when danger lurked over them.

I feel like you are so much fixated in the novel that you refused to watch this drama from another point. The stuffs you said about her can be countered like the scene in the cave when the drama yh was almost about to kill him.
While i agree YH doesn't have any motive rn apart from helping TY but that doesn't mean she isn't acting as his protector.

It's clear she will ditch him. It was there in the trailer when he asks her to give her heart. She said she once did and walks away.

People wouldn't have been enraged so much of the writer didn't lie abt BXS not being the typical second male lead pining for another man's woman. They raised the bar high for a 2nd ml . Ofcourse the disappointment will be proportionate. I feel people on weibo are more hurt at BXS character change than the stabbing itself

Maybe i haven't read the novel so i am watching it from a different lense.
Imo , i don't feel like YH's importance has been made any less than TY. In my eyes both are co dependent on each other. Despite her limitations and sad past YH with her strong willed mind and determination still managed to rescue him many a times. Like the way she could have easily got away from him when that sebashi monster attacked but she still came back because her morals didn't allow her to abandon him

Infact reading liarsh post it felt like ty's characterisation was quite poor in the novel as he didn't have any other motive than revenge. The drama made him multidimensional. Also regarding your complaints abt YH being sidelined. It's only the first arc of the drama . After he is done with his revenge the focus will be shifted to her.


And i am kind of glad they didn't include her master and her romantic arc and drew parallels with Sy and tY. Cause no matter how much I am able to ignore the age gaps in xianxia, man basically brought her up since she was 10 years old. It would look very weird .

She sealed his parts for eternity because of he dies his scales which were used to make the dragon armour will be of no use.
