That's the thing though, they gave us two suspects from the start so you think "ok, it's 50/50, not much intrigue here" but they wrote it well enough to make the doubt admissible. It might not have worked on you but it was objectively written very well enough to actually create doubt multiple times throughout the show, with ONLY two suspects. That's what's good with the drama. No the "oh, I wonder who amongst all the cast who is the killer" because we knew from the get go that it was either one or the other. Even when thinking "it'd be too predictable if the doctor is the psycho, it has to be the ML", they write a scene that makes you doubt. The point was to have people who can't fathom that a ML could be the killer doubt themselves and those who know better than to rule out the ML because the other would be to predictable to also doubt themselves Which other k-thrillers have you seen where you couldn't figure out the culprit?
Important to remember that people have different tastes, and what's not your cup of tea is someone else's :)
The action part is not even good though, it's goofy and cartoony. Mercy for none was a great action drama. No plot, just a simple revenge story, I was only there for the action and it delivered. Here it's like they try to make it an action thing but with plot but the plot just doesn't stick, it's not landing. If at least the action scenes were great... Idk, this drama really isn't for him, I can't find a single appeal to it.

You can turn you brain off and still enjoy things that make sense. There is no amount of turning my brain off that can make me sit through an hour and a half of a show that's badly written.

I did, like most, but then they made us doubt again and again which doesn't happen to me often when it comes to thrillers. Once I have my doubts you can throw everything at me and I won't budge, I even dropped Mouse at first because of how obvious it was but picked it up again and well, not disapointed. Are there better thrillers out there? Fore sure. But south koreans? I don't think so.
oh I've been wondering too about who he was talking to when he got home, not sure it was that woman though!
If he's related to her, why would he be there? It's just an assumption but the way he said that thing when he went home suggested that it was not part of the plan and that he will still continue doing it (helping Mirae). So what would be the plan? Other than get revenge I mean.
oh I've been wondering too about who he was talking to when he got home, not sure it was that woman though!
She's the only character that would benefit from him ruining things at Mirae's firm that we know of. If this brother/husband does it because of what happend to that woman, it makes sense that he would try to help Mirae a bit since she's also being bullied. Not too much though because from that woman's POV Mirae didn't take her side and so she could be resentful. That might be way he said "I think I'll keep helping her". It's as if the person he was talking too didn't necessarily want him to help Mirae because that's not why he's there (and again, if it's the woman, she wouldn't push him to help Mirae who turned her beck on her) but he did it anyway and now that he knows Mirae(miji)'s struggle, he can't turn a blind eye.
So I think I was right in thinking that the contractor at Mirae's firm is connected to the woman who quit before Mirae blow the whistle. There was a ring on her finger but not on the contractor but they did say he was maried so that might be her husband or her brother. Idk how he intend to bring down the company for revenge, it seems too big of a thing to do for a kdrama like this, so maybe just the department head and the manager.
For those who’ve finished the drama (no spoilers please): I’m not big on action or fight scenes, but I love…
It's really more a focus on the action and fight scene, the mystery is secondary. If you don't like action, you'll get bored. 7 episode, 35mn, it's all about the fight.
Hello, I'm writing a review and I want an opinion. Will talking about lack of character development and predictable…
Depends on the show. If they focused more on the mystery side of who did what and why then yes. Here all of that imo was secondary. 7 episodes, 30+mn, the focus here really was the action. We just follow a guy seeking revenge, that's it.
I mean..? That's the story of a guy seeking revenge and well that's just it. If you like action and fights it's really good but nothing more plotwise. Great acting though. I didn't expect anything more on my end, wanted to watch some good action and it delivered so 8/10. Mystery tag should be removed.
Is the contractual worker a friend or a foe? He looked smug when Miji was getting yelled at by her superior. Oh…
I think he is a foe to the company, he might be there to get revenge. Maybe he's connected to the woman that quit the day before Mirae blow the whistle? Her little brother maybe?
