If you're interested in getting to understand fanfan more, I think you have to read the novel. while the show follows the novel pretty accurately, there is a some more background and internal dialogue that lets you almost understand where he is coming from. That being said the books also make it clearer how much of a dipshit Luqing is, it's really bittersweet love. The whole thing is just frustrating but I enjoyed it anyway

what's with all the Jinwoo- Jinyoung hate, they look happy together, they are still together in the outside world after 3 months, I don't see whats wrong . I think they make a beautiful couple. I don't know man, I for one like that they are seasoned, they are selling a fantasy that many people are still willing to buy. You mentioned that you enjoyed theory of love when you were younger, I loved that show too. it still makes me nostalgic and that was only what less than 5 years ago.
I wouldn't say the plot and acting is Oscar worthy, but I don't think that's what anyone was going for. BL ships are for young people that want the fantasy, there's nothing wrong with it as long as everyone is having fun .
Just remember that the whole world doesn't move at your pace, after you there are still people experiencing things for the first time. Let them enjoy it.

I don't think she is blaming JW, she's hurt and embarrassed and she knows seeing JW will make her feel worse that's why she doesn't want to see her. I can totally understand that, I just wish she could treat the situation lighter. It's no one's fault. Just a passing African dropping my two cents, it doesn't come across as racist to me, just a in bad taste. But I can see why it would bother black people outside Africa more, as they usually live in racially charged situations.

I suspect you just don't like this genre, there's a whole sub-genre of Chinese BL that is known for its toxicity (look up the 188 series).
It's not meant to be romantic in the usual sense, remember this is a fantasy, it's kinda f-uped and toxic on purpose. It's a different taste, like people who are into bdsm. And preferences have nuance, again its a fantasy, no one actually wants that in real life

The fact that this a an edited reality show that lasts only one week means you can't draw those conclusions. SM met a cute guy and was flirting with him for 3 days then realized he might like someone else better. THAT'S ALL
Those are the facts, anything else is your assumption, you are not in his mind, you cannot decide his motives. You do not know this man and shouldn't judge his character based on edited clips from a TV show
