Short story and the main couple only "dates" for maybe 2 of the episodes (first there's introducation of the story and then there's a dragging misunderstanding). Didn't sell the romantic relationship between the main couple. No chemistry, no sparks. The "villain" didn't make one bit of sense. Only the cat was somewhat positive.
I'm currently at episode 4 and the vampires in this series so far reminds me of the meme "Question: Why are vampires…
It was my impression as well :) Also I felt that ML lacked some wisdom, introspective (maturity?) that could be expected from someone who lived few houndreds years.
Nah we don't want toxic relationships, we just want more action. I am happy with healthy relationships because…
I can explain on my example. I started the show and it was medicore. I liked the premises, main characters and the snippets of workers lives so I watched some episodes and waited (hopin it would pick up). I thought it would tell some stories about background characters and prove the point the series seems to bo delivering: "all people are equal" and ""hard work should be (is?) rewarded". Then I reached 10ep and NOTHING like this happened. Instead I got a whole episode about visiting Thailand and trying to ditch your friends without saying you want to spend some time with your boyfriend (topped with lying he's not your boyfriend). For me there's neither healty relationship nor plot and at ep 12 I have to admitt defeat. There's no hope in waitin for the drama to get better. I feel irritated and disappointed that I invested my time and got so little back. That's why I understand why people need to ramble about "no plot" etc. I feel the same need. And arguments about "romcom doesn't need a plot" are simply silly. Even commercials needs plot - what about 16-hour long drama?
OMG! Fake Di Ziyuan is so annoying! Creepy and mighty is one thing. But her attitude "everyone has hurt/used me" and "I'm so special" is getting on my nerves. She got what she wanted - Crown Princess Title and now she wants more. Why does she believe she should be given more? It goes against logic and traditional hierarchical social structure of the era,
How come people are hating on this show? Whats the reason?
I started this drama knowing nothing about it. Never watched anything with the actors. Found it boring and cringy. Maybe because I expected sth more from a vampire story? There's not much fantasy going on - ML could be sth else (a'ka human) and have some other reason why they have to share the mansion and it would be the same storywise. Dropped around 7 ep.
Am I the only person getting bored by this drama? I feel like I'm losing interest and I liked the first episodes…
I' m with you. I got to the point when I move forward more that watch. I'm on ep 12 and Da Eul still didn't get to do anything with her husband. The other friend is still bad-treating in the flying company but does nothing else than being resign. ML is supposed to do some real work at the hotel but it's shown in a way as if he just discovered how the hotel works.
Nah we don't want toxic relationships, we just want more action. I am happy with healthy relationships because…
Now, in the preview of 13th ep it's shown they'll ecounter their first(!) problems and it will end with her not answering his call. How is that a "growth" or a healty relation is beyond me. Also, it may be cultural so I don't understand but why did FL denied to her friends that she likes ML? The couple already confessed their love and decided to be togheter, yet FL lies to her (supposedly) supper-close friends. Why?
Nah we don't want toxic relationships, we just want more action. I am happy with healthy relationships because…
Love your comment! There can be more action while the couple relationship remain stable or building up. Seriously, was there any "relation-building content" in the episode when they went for a trip? If you haven't seen it, would you miss a lot of the story?
omo...why are people looking for a plot in a romcom?? Any true romcom person will tell you that the relationship…
We all know that romcom is simply a romance dressed as some kind of story... But sometimes this "dress" is nice and believable - it might be simple but at least should make sense... and sometimes you get a story without a story or a story so irrational it's irritating. In this case there's almost no story and the crumbs of the plot are so unbelievable they don't engage your interest during the "angst part". I've skipped whole "trip episode" because it was borin then I've seen the preview of 13th episode and have no interest in watching it (useless fights you know they have to overcome quicklu to finish the series). I'll wait for ep 16 to get an answer of how ML is going to win a fight with his sister if his strategy is so out touch with reality?
Im looking forward for the day Kang Da Eul left his lazy husband and his parasite family. The nerve!
What I don't understand is why there's no plot regarding this? We know from some early episodes that the guy is playing golf while she's working hard both at work and at home. When it will be addressed? There's only four episodes left. I hoped for some developement of all the protagonist. The show started with "look how workes's life look like" and the ML is soooo invested in giving some justice to the workers (honestly, can't imagine how he wins with his sister with that strategy) but in the end we only see how bad the FL's friends are treated and it goes nowhere.
I don't know why people are so against negative comments. I get that if someone is interested in one sort of dramas…
I'm still in the place when I'm giving this drama a chance, I'm going to watch next 2 episodes and decide if I drop it or not. I was jut pointing out that negative comment is not "hate parade". You should remember there's a lot of things between love and hate ("I don't enjoy it" is somewhere in a middle).
I believe everyone has the right to express their opinions and thoughts about the show, even if they are negative.…
I've watched 4 episodes and plan to watch some more. But I understand why people are disappointed. This drama started with a promise of something new/refreshing and very quickly went back to typical tropes: ML is clueless about "normal" life, can't do even the simplest job but acts arrogant and might while FL is tough and self-dependent and has to learn how to open her heart to another... Now, he's going to be clueless about romance/love life and will get silly advices from his silly and ugly friends... Totally not funny.
The chemistry is chemistrying. I especially love their banter. Ahhh I like it so much and I canβt wait for the…
I don't know why people are so against negative comments. I get that if someone is interested in one sort of dramas (e.g.thrillers) then maybe shouldn't comment on somethings that from the beginning is something totally different. But if I start a drama, knowing the "genre" then it's obvious I have some expectation. And it's my right to comment if I don't like something. Also I think that it's more informative when you have both positive and negative comments - reviews are more helpful then. It's not a "hate parade" if I say that I don't like/enjoy something.
Maybe because some episodes at the end are just to unrealistic? And they ruin your opinion?
I mean, the whole drama is suposed to be light so it doesn't show the reality of North Koreans' lives. But still it's so unrealistic that everybody in this village are so friendly toward FL and ready to commit treason for her... or how many fans of South Korean dramas are there. You put the issue aside as the drama is good and fun to watch. AND THEN: this whole thing with the bad guy going to South Korea and ML following him, combined with his father sendig a group of soldiers to South Korea as well. And all of this soldiers are just walking around and behave rather stupid... WTF?
I just can't get this thought out of my head: if ML felt responsible for so many people losing their money (and some evene health) wouldn't it be more logical to stay working as a high paid consultant and use this money to repair the damage?
I am ashamed for all the people around her going "she'e young and immature you should forgive her". She pushed…
I thought I put "spoiler" tag before... About my comment - you still don't understand. It's not about pregnancy/miscarriage. It's about the attitude that I can see only in Chinese dramas: "well, maybe she killed/hurt someone but it's only fitful youth and she should be saved from all consequences". Honestly, is this some kind of propaganda? To make rich people look crazy and lacking common human emotions? And you fit this style perfectly saying: "it was but a fit of jealousy so everything should be written off as an accident, what's more it's FL fault for she should stay at home". Maybe the shield you put up is a bit too thick, don't you think?

It was a word game with the first comment which started "I'm not ashamed"... I understand it's fictional but that one thing is so far away from anything normal it's triggering. I think you can't understand my meaning if you put some of the blame on FL just for taking up the stairs. Whatever she did, she she didn't jump down the stairs - therefore she's "blameless". And Bai Yun not only pushed FL (=assault) but also left her unconcious after that (=another crime - breach of the duty to rescue).
I'm not ashamed to admit I'm sad the writers held back with Bai Yun.... I was really hoping to see her crack and…
I am ashamed for all the people around her going "she'e young and immature you should forgive her". She pushed someone downe the stairs, FL miscarried but could be hurt in some other way. Would they still use the same excuse?

There's a meme about poor vampires and it suits this drama so much. If you lived for hundreds of years and still can't make ends meet you're beyond help.
