For me she felt suspicious from the start. A specially her hands cleaning habit... I thought she's going to use the FL. But she was nice for so long I started to believe she's a good guy.

When you are together with someone for a long time to make new relationships with people close to your partner (his mother, sister, friends).
Those relationships are harder to maintain after the break up but it's not as if you can 'unfriend' them in one second.

For me it wasn't out of character. He's spoiled but he's a good person. So while he isn't romantically interested in that girl he still treats her like a close acquaintance - if she's sick he won't make her leave. And he did the minimum and kept the boundaries. For me it was ok.

Selfish? You may argue whether the principle was worth they lives but you can't call it selfish.

Don't know which ep you are now, but there's a scene when the girl comes to him unannounced and asks many question to which ML answers: It's none of your business, we are not together and we won't be.
And she says: idc I'm going to still pursuit you.

The girl knows he's loaded and she won't back from underhanded tactics.

Exactly, I love the main couple but I'm not invested at all in the other couples. I can't rate the drama 8 if I only like half of it. No matter how great that half is.

I wish QF would acknowledge his special to her.

I think that's why the kid emperor is showed to be separate to his mother.
When ED stole the throne he was an infant. Now he comes of age but ED is plotting to keep him away from the power.
So the justice can be served even when Prince Li isn't fit to be a ruler.
Also I think prince Li will become a traitor - scheming with foreign country to fight Dachu.

It would destroy the drama. The whole bulid up of last few episodes is about healing her trauma.
The ML is tormented looking at the evidence of everything she had to go through.
If it all was fake, then it would cheapen their relationship and the whole story.

Still we are in the middle of the drama. I wish they got together already. Or at least confess their feelings.
Even acknowledging them (not to each other but to themselves) would be fine.

I've just looked at actors list and I noticed Li Xi Zen looks AI-ish even in this profile picture.
Maybe the AI swap was done well and it's just his normal face that fails?

Yeah, while I don't like Luze for being superficial (and the actor looks woooden which doesn't help) I kinda understand that he feels the need to be cautious about the girl's standards. You never know when she's going to lose it again.

Thanks for that info. Their getting together feeled akward. He doesn't seem to love her (doesn't even seem to have any romantic thoughts about her). And she is just bossing him around which also doesn't seem romantic.
But childhood connection always prevails!

Actually I didn't get the meaning of that smile. Was it because LYF knew what's coming? Or was it a smile shared between two men like "well, women"?
