there's no rules in what you call "screenplay", art is limitless and boundless, what you call rules and structure on how to do a story died long time ago mainly because of rashomon. I know exactly what you're experiencing, you had preconceived notions about the story so you ended up being dissapointed because its not what you expected. absolutely nothing wrong with establishing the cause of the whole story which is her friend's death, on the contrary what is cheap is to just throw the idea there as a mere concept of her friend dying and expect the viewer to relate and understand her whole situation, maybe you didn't concentrate enough but what her friend said to her in the sleepover and her last words will end up shaping the rest of her personality, her personality that she put on hold for years, before the catalyst which was her friend's death she had no clear dream or even a long term plan of her life she only works and sleeps she was in a mental coma, the viewer absolutely needed to go through all of that to fully understand why the suffering and what's lacking in her life and that's exactly why she just wondered around doing absolutely nothing for 10 episodes, doesn't matter if you're self proclaimed reincarnation of hitchcook don't underestimate mental health thinking that people can bounce back easily.
When do the leads break up and get back together? I want to start this but been hesitating cause of the break…
Please its totally okay to ask, its my absolute pleasure to share, things will get exposed in ep24 and like you guessed the fans will attack the FL and her family mostly online. but one thing will happen and it'll be the catalyst of their breakup
When do the leads break up and get back together? I want to start this but been hesitating cause of the break…
yes sadly, that and how they handled the body swap phenomenon left a bad taste for me so I'm subjective, but still a very good drama that I think is a must watch.
no idea why there's the nice female lead tag, should be hotheaded or impetuous female lead. she's like a walking bomb, exploding on everything and everybody
When do the leads break up and get back together? I want to start this but been hesitating cause of the break…
They break up in episode 25 and get back together in 26 with a time skip, it was unnecessary imo, the writer wanted to show that their love is ever lasting, I mean they had a one of its kind body swap case, ofc their love is special and fated no need to prove it with time nor with the fact it won't vanish with a breakup. but hey that's my opinion
It's been a very long while since a character that I instantly despised like manager Zhao managed to grew on me this much, his character is very well written, childish and annoying but very capable, serious and thoughtful, he could've easily been a ML
really good drama but the last few episodes were weak, the writer could've and should've created the whole last conflict by elaborating more around the body swapping but he chose a much more cliché and expected problem.
I had the same exact experience, couldn't handle it, I rarely rarely drop dramas, but I dropped it
you said it everything I wanted to say, I don't necessarily mind the "business" genre if it does even exists lol but this cdrama is too much, they dived into business too early and too much since the very first episode without establishing the characters or their surroundings, you don't need 4+ episodes of business to understand the leads work persona and their career trajectory, it feels like the overuse of business screentime is intentional to make those flirting/interaction moments feels more important and valuable than they should be. its a cheap strategy in my opinion.
its so weird, the guy is still chasing an obviously happily married woman who made it clear to him that she's not interested. Wen Xing, Sheng Ren and Yuan Yuan are so cute, they elevated the show with their show of affection and admiration for their beloved people.
such an underrated gem, It's not the best at anything but its near the top at everything, just one thing felt forced is the need to give the FL something else near the end, that felt out of character and the timing was bad.
The sue lawsuit was unreasonable at best and plain absurd at worst, I get the need of the FL helping the ML through her line of work but since the writers made the ML a neurosurgeon it was too heavy to make him suffer from malpractice or losing a patient's life, but nothing made sense neither plot nor story wise
Such a good feels good show. My guess the low rating because the FL had to become an assistant after being a doctor, what I really loved is how he treated her, equally as a human being, she was the one who wanted to be treated as an assistant.
I lost all interest after episode 20 doesn't matter if you live in a communist run country, democratic country, absolute monarchy, or even military dictatorship, all asian dramas agrees that a non-consensual kiss can solve all problems and get you a partner.
Atleast they showed his trauma and maintained the drama well. This Drama was from Small Ip unlike other dramas.…
its a beautiful drama, but I found it annoying that 95% of the plot was reserved only for the FL's Healing when they introduced the ML as someone who's suffering from major traumas and his whole life revolves around work.
Actually they showed his trauma along with FL journey. Meanwhile FL still healing but ML is done with those trauma…
all drama long he didn't show a glimpse of someone having dealt with a first love "betrayal", the FL had the same exact situation as his first love and he never wavered or showed anything, its like nothing happened to him in the past. like I said the setting of his character shows that he didn't get over those traumas, his 6 days work per week, volunteer work, no friends or close people except his grandpa, no present parent nothing, you don't get over traumas by "spreading positivity" or overworking yourself, someone have to help you getting over it. and I don't need to talk about his mother's case, changed his whole life and made him who he is, only needed a half episode of new chinese year in hometown and a half episode of FL setting up a dinner, suddenly he's cured from his 20 years long trauma
2023 and directors still use the abnoxious sudden camera zoom inside offices. I'm astonished, I thought this lame technique to create fake suspense was done for like 1 decade ago
this drama is very very loopsided, the ML had much much worse traumas, loss of a mother while the father was negligent, while the FL had a breakup its just a fresh deep wound, but his trauma is like he's been in an emotional coma for 5-6 years after his breakup, , no close friends, nothing going on in his life except work all of this and he had to deal with her ex coming back, its absurd, they barely talked about his traumas, the drama gave him like 2 half episodes for his mother trauma to be concluded, and didn't feel like he had a love trauma at all. MEN'S MENTAL HEALTH IS A JOKE IN CDRAMA. this drama's score is very overrated considering it had this big flaw.
the word masterpiece gets thrown a lot but this drama absolutely deserves every single letter in that word. The…
this drama gets compared to hometown cha cha cha, but it makes it look like a kids/teenager drama, and I've rewatched it like 2-3 times and was in love with it until I came across meet yourself, its just on another level
