Filming scheduled from mid-April to November. Hopefully it's got a slot for 2026 release, because the Netflix calendar for next year is full (so some dramas filming from now on will have to wait for 2027.)
Just binged the first four episodes. Great start. I'm invested in like all the major players, which is a feat! PHS is easy to root for as Dongjoo, Jangseon is a good villain and Ildo might just end up switching sides. Eunnam hates her husband so much and it cracks me up every time. She might just give up everything in the end for Dongjoo. Hopefully we'll get to see more of Cha Woomin as the series goes on.
"Attention is now focused on how significant his role will be in the edited version of the film."
Do we even know that the film itself has been edited? Yoo Ah-in has a co-lead role, so it would be difficult to reduce his appearance. So far my impression was that it's just the promo he's been removed from. The source listed also does not say anything about the film itself having been edited.
The real Joseon king that the character is based on was a tyrant who reigned from the age of 18 to 29, so Lee Chae Min is actually much closer to that.
If Park Hyung-sik stays away from romcoms and keeps doing dramas like this and Happiness instead, I will be very happy. He's so much more enjoyable when he's not having to be cringy and silly.
