If you really read novel then share with us. Adaptation not mean it will accurately follow novel. All fantasy…
I don't want to spoil anything for you guys cause they did decide to change the whole narrative. There's no war, only a sea calamity every 500 years that immortals have to prepare for. They know of an ancient world that exist past the sea of fire but nobody can reach it, so it is likely all legends and myths. A big part of the novel is happening when the characters are 10-11 years old and the dynamic between FL & ML is very different. I do understand their approach on making it easier cause it is quite a long & complex story but I was just a little bit sad in the end. I enjoy the novel a lot and if you are a fan of characters based novel, I highly recommend you read it!
Sure! I will try to explain without spoiling anything! The novel is all about the bond of friendship and self discovery. At the beginning, FL is ordinary with no power but you know something is definitely different about her. Because a lot of the novel is happening when the characters are around 10-11 years old (and I knew this would be adapted differently), you see them growing, evolving. The ML was the biggest surprise for me because he is presented quite differently in the novel. He is a crying baby who can't do anything but seems very clever and scheming at the same time. He will eventually mature but it added nice complexity to his character. I feel like some relationships are going to be hard to explain in the drama because many "events" have been ignored or weirdly introduced. Even the master, who is such a key character to the story is left a little bit on the side so far.
Anyway, it's my opinion and I was not here to start a fight with anyone. Enjoy the drama!
I’m nervous about them doing Zhang Linghe dirty like they did in PoJ- Initially giving him a lot of screen time…
I don't understand how POJ got such a high rating...Only the first episodes were amazing. After that, they really got lost into the plot and failed to bring the story to life...The novel was so much better.
I don’t know why many hate this drama but this drama was the one that helped me get back up from my drama slump.…
I know!!! I feel like people didn't get this drama at all. It's based mostly on character's growth instead of infinite plot twists/actions. The book was better but I enjoyed this drama a lot!
Decided to give it a try, but can't help but laugh out loud at the cringe premise - the lameass mask, the clearly…
In the book, she dies from being drown by her family while she's married and carrying a child. I think they wanted to remove that part cause they love a "pure" heroin. Anyway, I think that's why the plot feels weird sometimes.
