lol why are they translating aishiteru as "you're the best"..... Azuma blurts out "I love you"…
I saw that too! I was like I am sure that is not the correct translations, I have watched enough jdramas to know what that sentence mean. But kuji's reaction was not very surprised so I think given the context ' aishiteru' might not hold the same strong meaning. I think it might be just be the personality of Azuma, he comes off as caring and affectionate more easily than kuji.

i dont think they show us a illegal action, so in Japan the legal age gap between an 13-15 year old adolescent…
I have no idea what you are trying to say here..? Maybe check your grammar, sentence structure and your arguments before you try to communicate your feelings online. I hope that helps xx

This! It was so nice to see the story of two teenagers finding themselves and it'd be a great film for growing…
You are saying a lot of contradicting things under this review page and you seem very passionate about this topic, which is really not a good look... You seem to believe that a relationship with a minor is okay because they are both consenting ( I'm here referencing your other comments). But now you seem to be saying that it' s actually a crime, but crimes should be shown on tv...To answer your supposed genius dilemma: Yes, crimes can be freely shown on tv, but only if they are being shown as crimes. No one in their right mind should glorify or romaticize inappropriate relations with minors. I would not go as far to say that this show glorifies such relations, but i think they should have cleaned up that plotline in a better manner to highlight for the audience why such relations should not be persuit. Fyi I won' t be replying anymore so you can ragebait me as much as you want xx

hmmm this is such a difficult show to rate. I really like the main characters Akira and Kanata and i love their love story, it feels like a true teenage relationship with all its awkward moments. But yeah I really hoped that the tutor part would have played out in a different way...
I looked up online the age of a highschool sophmere in japan and it' s 16 and Akira mentioned that his brother is 23 years old. And if we give the show the benefit of the doubt and say that Akira was in his last year of middle school so 15 years old.... that leads me to believe that when Akira was only 15 years old when he began to develope an innapropriate relationship with a 21 year old guy. There is no excuse for this kind of relationship it' s not cool or edgy it' s just gross and very innapropriate.
I hope that any minor watching this show realizes that the tutor guy is a huge red flag. I really hate the fact that this show seems to normalize those kind of relationships and that it also ties it to being queer. No one should be dating minors or having sexual relationships with them regardless of sexual orientation!!

And for the comments that are saying this show is queer baiting... well that is quite a naive way of seeing this show. The people on this show are real people with real feelings, you can' t simply just force to people to like and choose eachother!

I would like to start this by saying that I have almost never finished watching a dating show, because all of them felt too boring or too unnatural and scripted. BUT I LOVED THIS SO MUCH!! I actually was quite shocked to see that not more people loved this so I would like to share my opinion to in the hope that more people will decide to watch it!
First of all, the structure of the show was quite different from other dating shows, there is no heavy editing every minute and the activities don' t overshadow the real forming connections between the contestans.
Second of all, I really liked the atmosphere that was created for the contestans and by the contestans themselves. I felt that everyone was quite comfortable and they also became like a big friend group, while there is some tension because of the love traingles no one really behaved in a crule or mean way.
But to be honest I was also quite dissapointed by the lack of queer couples... Until I realized something: this dating show is a reflection of a normal dating life. There where not a lot of people who where only attracted to the same gender, but a lot of queer, fluid and bi people. I hate to say this but heterosexuality feels more safe to people and makes it easier for them to carelessly fall in love with a stranger. DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING IF YOU DON' T WANT A SPOILER! Tod and Time are in my eyes a great example for this , it was obvious to the viewers and also later confirmed by them that they were attracted to eachother form the very beginning. They became very close friends but both persued women.... In the final episode Tod shares his feelings and says that he liked Time a lot but was too scared to make him uncomfortable or to feel grossed out by him...which is very sad(I cried so much and felt so heartbroken for their lost potential omg...) The same is also true for Joy and sunny and that leads to my conclusion that queer relationships are much harder to navigate and I think too complex for a show shot in 12 days only.
Also one last thing about Sunny. I don' t understand why people are calling her a red flag at all..? She was such a great communicater and also very honest and brave. She told mathew she liked him as a friend in a very graceful manner, she was honest with Time about her attraction to other people. While some people may see her as a player because she was both attracted to Namnung and Time, but she was very honest to both of them, they both knew how Sunny felt. I think she has great character and emotional intelligence.
