Dont think so, his role seems like the antagonist who caused Luo Yan to lose his memory in High School. He is jealous of Luo Yan so he kept getting close to Fang Li. I dont think he likes the FL at all.

Agree, they used to be the allies of the Human Tribe. Just that they lost many of their people during the war with the Heavenly Tribe and the Human Tribe turned enemy to them as they are stronger now.
2nd time watching him in My First Love is Secret Love, I finally realized he looks good! ;) Hope he gets more main roles soon! :D He doesnt stand out that much to me in My Love, Enlighten Me previously because male lead Han Che is too cute there :)
