I don't know the Thai law considering this. So you know better than me in that case...But it seems to me you think that I'd put on the same level different kind of criminal cases. That's why I answer you that way. And besides I'm not a judge. That's not my role. Basically it's not really the point I'm trying to make since the beginning. Not really...In the series, Sean's hurt because of his father's murder has been acknowledged. You've seen it. In a way it's a kind of respect. But in the case of White's assault, they have never acknowledged the fact that the assault can have very distressing consequences for the victim. In fact, White was never really depicted as a victim. Basically, you've said it yourself : "the actual victim chose to understand and give him forgiveness." It was quickly resolved. As usual.

You didn't see White's fear because of the assault, his trauma, his hurt. The series didn't even grant that. They absolutely silence this. In a way, this is also a form of "symbolic" killing too. Since the victim has not been granted the right to speak. So no. They cannot speak for themselves too. Because people think their trauma is not as "bad" as having the trauma of losing your family because of murder. Killing of course is a serious and irreversible act, I've never said the contrary. But the discourse around this situation is also quite wrong since it tends to brush off other kind of situations seen as less as "a point of no return".

And this is because of that, that Sean's hurt has been seen as more "important" than the potential trauma White must have experienced from Sean's assault. That's a problem too.

Indeed, you have said it yourself : the situations are not comparable. But I understand it differently than you.

"The situations are not comparable" is not like you can say to the people suffering from starvation : "well whatever way you look at it, their situation would never be comparable to people dying because of bombing".

This way of thinking can be quickly insensitive (and dangerous) simply because you have human beings suffering from those situations in any case. Whether they are killed, raped, assaulted, tortured...Are we now building a scale to decide who has it worse ? Be honest. You were implying this in your previous comment(s) (and other people).

PS : and sorry but no.... " Nobody is putting away Sean's actions like oh it was a tinsy lil thing". I doubt it. A lot. You just have to see the difference in wording...It's pretty clear. But I agree that some people are not even aware of it. Because they are so used to it and it has been so "normalized" in media that people have grown insensitive to it. That's why they can easily accept and not question a plot where the "forgiveness" has been quickly knocked together.

Besides, as an audience, we can question the plot too ? and the usual plot devices ?

Let's stop the hypocrisy. Some of the viewers having a problem with Dan's actions (rightfully so) -and police impunity- but not so much with Sean's past actions (and brushing off the violent agression White has been a victim of some time ago -nah, it's a little slap you all, a friendly fight in the gang-). Admit it, it's just a matter of ship...
PS : I'll like the series to address more accurately this problem too...you know to show at least this was wrong and well traumatizing...I mean being almost killed is not a "light" matter you can brush off just because of the power of "luuuve".

If his friends have not been there, he would have killed him...I've read a comment here of someone who has been almost strangled to death. She was traumatized by the scene and was surprised it doesn't bother that much people.
People are so ready to believe that you can be together with your agressor...and don't think too much about Sean's previous actions. Worse, they even feel White somewhat deserve it because he was "annoying". And people only have a problem with Dan ? Really ? In fact, they should have a problem with both characters and both situations, just saying...Why make the choice ?
You can also go to jail because of a violent agression...
Sean was never a "nice" guy. I'm still waiting for him to show that he feels at least guilty about what he has done to White and truly redeems himself. White deserves it. And that is another social and political theme to add with police impunity.
But to be frank, I think the plot of the series is lacking and doesn't make sense sometimes.

I've read that apparently Yok and Dan have more or less planned this before hand. That's why Dan was here. It's in the dialogue :"do you believe now that you're being followed ?". But I think people are thinking too much about the plot lol I think the scene was included just to show how the car has a reverse camera lol I absolutely love the series but it's clear now that its main weakness is the plot. But still a very good BL series.

Gun's acting is amazing ! Black is such an interesting character too. I hope we'll see him more now.

Things are getting complicated. And the angst is coming...First and Gawin absolutely need a series together as a main couple, the chemistry is literally explosive in this episode.

I'm going to rant a little. lol Sorry. But I hope Dan and Yok will be ok in the end, but I'm more and more afraid it won't be the case...If they go that way I'll be quite disappointed with the series. After all, you make us believe Sean and White can have a future together while Sean still almost strangle to death White some time ago...which is not very believable in reality...so if you make us think Dan and Yok are already doomed...Them being together and alive, and in a way ok, won't make it less believable...

In short, let all them survive this and still be together in the end !

But I still love a lot this series. It has great qualities even if I think sometimes the plot is not that coherent and even a little far-fetched.

I really like ep. 3 ! And the atmosphere is great ! Sometimes it's a little too slow or too talkative but otherwise this is a very good series ! The soundtrack is also incredible : love how it adds to the scenes.

So the art scene between First and Gawin was partly improvised by the actors (Dan crying and embracing Yok). Wow. Just wow. Great actors indeed !

Please series a warning. Don't kill Dan or Yok. Otherwise I'll be very mad.

My favorite scene from today episode ! I hope there will be more scenes with DanYok. I find their story really interesting (the dilemna and angst they will face...since Gawin is a cop...so...).

I'm suspicious of White's father (or mother) lol It's been a long time we haven't heard about White's family. Something is telling me there is something fishy there. Otherwise, another solid episode. The highlight for me was definitely the breathtaking art scene. Great acting from First and Gawin. Those two absolutely need to be together in another series like this (with the same director lol) : raw, emotional, etc. Because they are absolutely amazing.

To be frank they are my favorite couple in this series lol ! And I think that the dilemna Dan (since he's a cop....) will certainly face will be interesting to see as the plot goes on.

I never understand too the need to do that distinction. For me, they are all works of fiction centered around same-sex relationships. Judging works and viewers by the fact they belong to a "genre" seems to me like a prejudiced and very opinionated view.
