It is such a lovely episode and it is nice to see Tine's feeling developing more and more. Tine seems to less follow his friends' advice (at last) and grows a little more confident. Sarawat shows more of his "cute" side. Other characters are not so cute though (like Mil). PS : Tine's friends were never "nice", and since the beginning.... They might be funny to watch but they are not "nice". PS2 : I'm quite convinced the main couple is able to show intimate (as in a sense of closeness and mutual understanding) scenes. With their chemistry, I'm sure they can pull it on.
I don't understand some comments. I don't think the pace has a problem ? Did they make out in the first episode, get married in the second, have children in the third lol?
7 episodes later, we have a true love confession from both of them. Is it that fast ?
Still, I think it is a very enjoyable series (for now). They try to make it fun and likeable ? Of course, it is not a drama looking for awards in a ceremony....
Criticism is good of course (especially with issues like consent in BL stories, a vast but valuable topic) but to me, other criticism seem really fickle.
LOVE the series, but if everyone out there really thinks this is a good plot, then I'm losing faith in humanity.…
It's the reason I wish they didn't follow that much the novel because of the plot....
But I guess they don't want to disappoint some fans (who can be really demanding even when their request is not reasonable - but artists are not here to satisfy your every whim...some people seem to forget that).
Frankly speaking, I've read fanfiction with the "fake boyfriend" plan which were better. However, I like the parallel they made between music and the development of their feelings. It adds a nice touch.
Same! I thought I wasn't just in the right headspace while watching it last night that's why I wasn't able to…
But I've watched BL from Taiwan and Japan. I cannot say if there is a typical Japanese BL, a typical Taiwanese BL or a typical Thai BL show. What they might have in common (all of them) are those BL cliches (or not?) ? "Grey Rainbow" and "Diary of Tootsies" feel completely different but they are both Thai BL. "I hear the sunspot" and "Pornographer" feel completely different but they are both Japanese BL. "Eternal summer" and "Trapped" feel completely different but they are both Taiwanese BL.
If there is chemistry for the main couple, how could the double confession scene feel superficial ?
Well, I guess we'll have a different opinion on this episode because I disagree with what you say.
Abrupt cuts are also a way of filming. Movies are not necessarily everytime made with fade-out technique. I think it gives rythm to a show. It doesn't bother me that much.
I think the awkward pauses are understandable since both have progressed differently with their feelings. Of course, you'll still feel some kind of "discrepancy" between the two of them. Also in a dialogue, in real life, you have those kind of pauses.
The pacing does not seem to me that "odd" in this episode : we're in the ep 7, past the middle of the series and that means some kind of "climax". The beginning will be of course slow and gradual because they want to introduce the characters, the setting.
The only scenes I find irritating are the scenes where you have the product placement which are really pointless and add nothing.

But what is a typical Thai BL ? Also the plot was very clichesque since the beginning (the "fake" boyfriend plan is quite common and not only in BL). Can you explain a little more ? I find it's interesting that some people have totally another feeling when watching the same show. It's fascinating !
Perhaps my comment will be harsh but I don't care. All the negative backlash this fantastic series had was unfair. And the result is here : HISTORY series is no more. There will no HISTORY4 and CTL the movie won't happen. It is over. Bad news for the most promising BL franchise. But I'm not surprised because of the heavy toxicity of a part of the BL fandom.
Episode 7 is really great ! There is so much chemistry between Tine and Sarawat ! People saying otherwise are really blind... And Win's acting is incredible in this episode ! I'm so impressed since it's his first time acting !
In episode 1: Tine has a "fake" girlfriend to make Green give up. His plan doesn't work out, Green discovers the truth and eventually says " I get it now. You just wanted to test if I really like you or not, am I right ?"
In episode 6 : Tine uses the "fake girlfriend" plan again but that time, Tine comes to do what Green has said in episode 1 (even if it is to test another person, Sarawat). I find it funny lol.
Yes, it is that scene ! I heard in the novel it is more problematic. However, taking a photo of you when you're in a "vulnerable" state and publishing it (without your consent) while writing "I'm reserved" is still creepy, I think. If my boyfriend does that, I'll break up fast, because that kind of behavior can lead to dangerous things... I love the series but better be aware than blind ! I'm just saying that for people who think it's "trivial" while it is not.
Such a lovely episode. Many people notice Bright in the show (which will lead only to a lot of broken hearts lol)...but Win does a great job too. His (natural) acting is shining particularly in this episode. Fortunately, they tone down the problematic scene (even if I still find it creepy). I hope they won't come back to it so that we can quickly forget it. For me, jealousy is only a proof of your uncertainty and your lack of trust in other people. So, in a way, I understand Sarawat reacting like that, considering how Tine used to be a "womanizer" (or perhaps he's still one lol). But generally speaking, someone too possessive and jealous (even if he is "handsome") with a superficial one (even if he is "cute") , it doesn't bode well for a "strong" relationship. But it's BL, we'll miraculously believe it'll work lol.
Idk but for me the kiss wasn't disappointing at all, it fits with the scene and with how the characters are
Thank you so much for your comment ! I especially agree with "He doesn't approach pushing a boundary until he is actually in a very vulnerable state" for Sarawat and "Tine wants it all". It is exactly like that and I can understand better the characters.
The worse thing is that sarawat asked his friend to make Tine drunk. If the series keep that storyline, then i…
Argh ! This is wrong...But many characters are wrong too...Tine was ready to "blackmail" Sarawat in order to become his "fake" boyfriend too at the beginning (and he tries to drug Green too). I just hope both will grow up and be more considerate of each other.
If this series gets rape-ie I'm done. That's one of my hard lines. I hope he just strips Time down for him to…
I fear that ! I'm praying they will absolutely not follow the novel ! I'll still watch it though because I like the actors but it'll seriously spoil the "fun" -sigh-
Idk but for me the kiss wasn't disappointing at all, it fits with the scene and with how the characters are
I think both characters are not perfect too. Tine is using Sarawat for his own benefit. And Tine's ambiguous reaction to Sarawat very obvious flirting makes Sarawat hope for something more. So, in a way , I understand Sarawat's action in this episode (even if I generally don't like possessive characters) : he's fed up with Tine "playing" with him.
Please don't tell me in the next episode we'll have that kind of scene...why waste such a good series with a drunken "love" scene ? -sigh- Ok I'll wait and see...I hope I'm wrong...But what a pity...New episode was ok for me but I feel like it's not as good as the first episodes....Some scenes are really well-acted, others seems a little odd... I don't know... I really like Mike and Toptap couple though.
