I somehow expected the show to be a lot more fluffy because GMMTV tends to make all their BL fluffy, but I enjoy the seriousness tone and Rom-Com tone set for this show and in episode two. I think personally, my rating has gone up a bit. I feel episode 2 is actually better lol.
One thing I feel is that at least they didn't make Tong naive. I find it funny when he wanted to file police report. That shit cracked me up! Lol. At least the show stays a little realistic in the sense that Tong find Mark odd and untrustable. Lots of other shows like this would throw out logic from the main lead and act like anything they've seen is "normal." Lol
Anyways, can't wait until next week! Cheers to my new favorite couple!
This show is ok so far, but I do love the chemistry. I will watch for the chemistry lol. I love the sexual tension too, but then again, I still can't fathom that fact that Mark is probably a 1,000 year old vampire hitting on a 20 year old boy he been protecting since he was a little kid?? Lol 😆. Mark, find someone your age please. Lol
I can't wait for the next episode! I think Joss and Gawin are indeed the perfect couple too!!!!
Ive never seen the main actors before, but honestly, I feel like I dont even know what the storyline is about... only knowing that they soooooo fucken cute together as a couple and I love their chemistry A LOT!!! Lol I swear, the shorter guy is hella cute paired with a tall ass cutie made this even better! I love their differences lol.
I kinda wanna watch it, but does anyone know if the main characters show any intimacy? Like kissing, hugging and etc.?? Kinda wish its full BL though. Please spoil this for me!
Episode 1 was actually funny. I like it so far. Its nice to see a comedy BL that's actually funny lol. My favorite part was where Wandee was at the store trying to flirt with Yoyak. I was cracking up with 2nd hand embarassment lol 😆. I just wanna point out that Inn looks likes he bulked up a little bit since I saw him in Miracle of Teddy Bear. I can't wait to see how this show turns out lol
This series was short, and its a soft story like a typical BL honestly. I really wanted more like Ch.3's "Miracle of Teddy Bear," but I guess not this time around. :( Overall, it was OK for me. I don't know if its a series I would watch again, but I might watch it again if I miss them as a couple lol.
I felt like the story fell flat during the climax (***the reason why they stopped being friends), but nevertheless, it was a nice stress-free series. Everything was easily resolved and it feels like there wasn't much of a story to this show. Seems like they had to stretch it as much as they can to a short story. Honestly, what kept me watching to the end was because I like the main actors only. They were eye candies and I swear they were so hot to look at! Lol
Junior (guy who plays Achi) is so damn hot! He's like literally my definition of "handsomely cute." He has this sexy top vibe, but with a cute soft look. Definitely my type lol. It was also nice to see Fluke doing a BL again since the last time I saw in "My Dream" the series.
I'm not sure, but perhaps I didn't like the directing of this show as much because it was produced by Mandee. I personally don't like Mandee's work and yea... I didn't really like their directing with this series too. For sure the actors have done all their best, but the turnout wasn't the best for me personally. But other than that, I really hope Ch.3 gives Junior and Fluke as another shot as couple in the next future BL projects! I was glad to hear that they did sold out their fanmeeting in Thailand! That's a good sign tho! 👌
There was a time jump that kinda ruin what one of the main lead needs to get over. Sad or Happy? It depends on…
Ch. 3 released the full uncut version of episode 16 later on and explained the "time jump" was actually because they had to cut down the story and episode lengths for Netflix's agreement. Ch. 3 could not go past more than 16 episodes as agreed upon. If Netflix agrees with the changes, I'm sure we would have saw a better ending. Someone told me that writer of the novel himself didn't mind to change the ending to a more a happier ending, but due to Netflix's contract, they decided to end it the way in the original novel.
I'm a little worried about Mandee's work, but knowing that it's under Ch. 3, I feel a bit at ease in the sense that I'm sure Ch. 3 will do it's best.
I miss Fluke in "My Dream" because I genuinely liked the concept of that series, but it didn't end well.
Perhaps the Miracle of Teddy Bear did well internationally that Ch. 3 is finally making some more, which is great! Since its a Ch. 3 production, its possible this show might be 1 hr 30 minutes per episodes like most Ch. 3 primetime shows. Having a BL on a major channel will definitely have a higher chance of higher budget productions. Ch. 3's Miracle of Teddy Bear was an outstanding show to me and it made me cried a lot. I can't wait for this one!
Even i binge watched it today. I was going to skip it based on MDL rating but I'm so glad I didn't.. 😊
I know. Im glad you didnt! Well, I've been watching it over and over ever since it came out Netflix. I can't let go the drams just yet. I wish there is season 2 now. :(
Ok. The thing that cracked me the most was when Achi was looking up his magic power online and Achi came upon the original comic on wikipedia. I was cracking up hella bad!!!! 🤣 I bet he was like "oh shit! There's even a comic about this power!?" Lol 😆
Honestly, I think I might like this adapation too. Its so funny in its own way. I think I still can't let go of the Japanese version just yet. So far, this Thai version is good too.
I binged-watch this series in one day! It was such a sweet and short series. I love it very much!!! Its odd to say that the plot isn't anywhere exciting, or new per say, but what caught me were the main casts and the vibe of the whole drama. The main casts were eye candies for sure lol.
As I watched the show, I just love how captivating Maeda's emotions and portrayal as Yamato in the show. Seeing him so sad throughout the show made me feel sad for Yamato and I was so hurt by his one-sided love in the first couple episodes. I kept thinking "when will my baby stop crying and stop getting hurt?" LOL! I think he was the perfect fit for his role as Yamato!
I guess another thing that made me continue and finish the show because it was kinda interesting to see that Yamato, the seme who is taller, handsome, and more the popular guy, turns out to be a quiet and shy person. I guess I always see the uke in other shows as the quiet and shy person, so it was nice to see this kind of change of dymanics for once. I guess I found Yamato's personality cute in this show LOL. You don't really see this kind of personality with tall people I say lol (- This is just my personal opinion LOL).
I love the vibe of this show. It has this kind of a romantic cold-wintery vibe to it. The background music in the show gave this kind of calmness and sadness feels to it, yet a happiness, hopeful and romantic feeling as well. Idk how to explain exactly, but you just have to watch it to understand it lol. Right now, its winter, and I think it's a really nice show to watch during the winter. 😀
Yamato and Kakeru are such a sweet couple. Idk why I'm loving this show so much, even though its such a cliche plot lol. There's literally thousands of shows that has the same plotline and such, but this caught me off guard lol. I just think that this production crew executed the show perfectly in a sweet and romantic way. I think it was beautifully done! I'm glad to have seen this show. Honestly, I want to support and buy the blu ray so bad, but its unfortunate they didn't add english subtitles to them, but I will definitely going to rewatch it once it comes to Netflix! That's the only way I can support them!
You praised all that...but you forgot Saint, he is the reason behind all these success.
For me, it doesnt matter if Saint is the reason why a show is a success. I watch it if I feel it's a good cast and a good production. Having a good production crew is really important to me because it tell how much effort everyone who made the show puts into the show, so that the show will turn out good. For example, I know many people like SCOY, but I didn't like it at all because of the acting, and editing of the show. SCOY was Saint's first show, and I still gave it a chance, but I didn't like it. And it's OK to not like something produced by someone popular.
We should not judge a show based on the producer as much because we may get disappointed at times. I look through a show's possible success by all the details and efforts they put into the show such as selecting the main cast with the right chemistry, the editing, the pacing of the story and etc. Sometimes, even well-known producers will have a bad drama of their own where it doesn't get as popular as they expected. OR sometimes some good casts can starred in a flopped show too. That can happen.
