This will be sooo interesting. I've never seen a BL set earlier than the 80s, so this will be greaaat.
Khun Chai (To Sir, With Love) is set in the 1940's era. If you want to watch a BL lakorn of that era, then you can start with that one for now. It's a really good show before this one airs next year.
Caught up to episode 13 and this show is very good! I like how all the characters are not stupid. I think I'm just more surprised how evil Madam Li has gotten by each episodes. Let's also point out how strong Aunt Jia is too lol. Every time I see her fight scenes, I'm just surprised by how strong she is. I'm just like "dang this old lady can fight!" Lol
With all this hype and positive reviews they still won't release episodes with subtitles? ㅠㅠ
One31 usually sub the episodes a lot slower, but for this show, they have been updating it almost every week on youtube... usually the english subtitles comes a week behind.
Caught up to ep 11 and I gotta say its the episode everyone has been waiting for!!! Just feelings and no words to explain!!! I really do hope for a happy ending tho. My A-Tian and A-Jiu!!! 😍❤️
Honestly, if this lakorn wasn't a BL, it is still a good lakorn to watch for the drama. it's such a slow burn romance for Tian and Jiu (I only only caught up to ep. 10). Other than that, I never got bored with one episode. I wonder if this series might actually be more than 16 episodes, but we shall see.
So far, I would just say this series is just OK. It keeps me interested enough to watch it at least once. I wonder if they kept the tone as the pilot trailer, would it have been better? Yea who knows. I'm watching mainly cuz of Izbanky lol. He's really cute.
Just finished episode 6 and yep! Im loving it so far! I can't believe that Jiu will take on the job! So far, I'm not bored even one episode so far. This drama has kept me watching every minute! Seems like the pressure from the international fans have gotten One31 subbing this lakorn faster than other lakorns I've seen lol.
16 or 28 eps? Some thai audiences said only 16 eps???
If it 16 episodes, it makes more sense since each episodes are roughly 1hr 15 minutes. The usual length are usually 1hr 30 minutes and the lakorn ends faster.
Episode 3 was so good! Now that this show officially has 28 episodes, I can see why that this lakorn is going to have lots of episodes after finishing episode 3. Even though Tian and Jiu are the main focus, I feel that they are going to focus on Yang and Phin and the rest of the entire familes too. So far so good!
I know. I want to get one. I didn't get my copy because I couldn't get it at the time of the pre-order. Now I have the money, but no more DVD out there.
Hmm. Well, I like it! I think I never really understood why people like Tharntype, so I guess this is my version of Tharntype lol. Since they are new actors, I see their acting still lacks somewhat, but it's not all that bad. Can't wait until next week!
This will probably around 14-16 episodes. Right now One31 dramas are reduced to 1.5 hours.
I was thinking the same thing too. This drama can't be that short because there seem to be a lot going on. If it ends at episode 10, then the drama would be finish within 4 more weeks.
Finally finished it after dropping it for months. Gonna be honest with how I feel about it, don't care if yall…
I feel the same thing too, but what I was told was that this show was suppose to 16 episodes long, but budget cuts were given to Boys Over Flower Thailand. This is why the ending, in my opinion, feels incomplete with an opening ending. The ending tries to tell us that in society, there will always be a big badder boss that controls everything. Simply put. Tawi is just a scapegoat. I think if anything, they should have had an ending for all those bad guys and Tawi for trying to kill them instead of leaving an ending where he serve no justice.
Another thing is that Thailand have their own censorship as well. Anything too political won't be aired. For example, if Buddhist monks were shown negatively, it is highly possible that it won't air on Thai TV. I don't know too much about Thai censorship, but this is what I was told and read about.
