I…oh my god…those last few minutes, I don’t even know where to start…I saw all the comments with people mentioning how good it is and still was not prepared…it was expertly acted, directed…their emotions just kept swelling and then those incredibly honest and heartfelt confessions of what they mean to each other (my heart z SWELLED ahh!) and culminating to Togawa’a exploding emotions, kissing Nozue (those hungry yet still subdued and REAL kisses!!!) and just breaking down because he thought he had done the unthinkable and would be rejected. It hurt me so much seeing Togawa cry like that and I hate that it is realistic. They care so much for each other and yet feel like it’s so wrong for them to be together. Once again, not a second wasted, the directing and pacing is superb, the acting is just so on point. Many kudos to the cast and crew!! This is moving up to be one of my favorite BL dramas of the year and only with 5 episodes.

I keep reading there are very few changes from the original so what was Netflix trying to accomplish with this? Majority of the people that will watch it first and that will be most vocal (good or bad reaction) will be people that watched the original so it needs to stand apart from the OG AND be as good or better. If this version has enough bad word of mouth, people who have not watched the original, will just go watch it instead. It's literally right there on Netflix too. Also, it's not like the orginal show came out decades ago. It came out in the last few years and also became popular on the SAME streaming platform as the remake. Of course people will be comparing the 2 closely....I get Netflix execs were trying to ride on the Squid Game wave but I don't this was the right move. This is all my opinion anyway. They have been getting a lot of big decisions wrong recently so no surprise.

I just got caught up, it’s perfect, I love it. Japanese BL is my undisputed fave, it just hits different for me! Kudos to everyone involved in this production not a single second wasted and the leads acting and undercurrent of chemistry that is now bursting at the seams has been *chef’s kiss* They are both mature yet open, honest and becoming more and more vulnerable with each other. Waiting for it to finish to say more. love LOVE LOVE it so far!!!
