This series is a MASTERPIECE. I’ve been watching Thai BLs since 2020, and let me tell you, Khemjira is by far the best BL series I’ve ever watched including C-BLs, J-BLs, and K-BLs. Every single one of them.You can see how much care, hard work, and love have been poured into the creation of this series. Watching the documentary only deepened that feeling for me, as it really showed the dedication, passion, and effort that went into bringing Khemjira to life. I have so much love for KengNamping, TleFirstone, and the entire crew for successfully bringing the world of Khemjira to life.Everything about this series is just so beautifully done.The plot, the depth of the characters, the friendships, the romance, the love, the cinematography, the visual effects, the chemistry between the characters, the acting, and the Thai culture woven throughout. It all comes together so seamlessly and meaningfully.And the OSTs… my god. Keng’s Mantra and Be Strong might actually be the end of me.Through this series, I got to learn about and experience so many different elements of Thai culture, and I’ve gained such profound respect for it. To the Khemjira gang, thank you for making me fall in love with Thai culture.I have never been so obsessed with and invested in a series before not just a BL, but any series. I even ended up watching reaction videos on YouTube for every episode and OST. My TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram feeds are completely filled with the Khemjira gang.I’m still stuck in the world of Khemjira, and I hope I continue to be for a long time. PS. Even till now when I listen to the osts it instantly evokes this nostalgic feeling within me yk. I'm gonna watch it again 2 years later. The reason why he keeps her with him is due to a curse. Like if she gets hurt in any way he feels it too which is quite dangerous for him in case she ends up in a life threatening situation. So he has no choice but to be stuck with her and monitor her every move. Also he can feel her emotions too cuz of the curse. And yeah it is indeed slow burn but you can easily tell quite early on that affections were starting to build up slowly without even them realising it. Please do watch it till the end. This drama for me holds a special place even till now.
Done rewatching without skipping any eps and tell me why it still hurts even after 3 years ?? Bawled my eyes out for these two and the love they had for each other. Their love was intense, selfless and painful in the most beautiful way . It made me yearn to have such strong feelings for someone in this lifetime. Made me question if I'll ever experience a love like this in the future. A love that deep, that consuming, that willing to do anything for the other person. Coming back after 3 years!! Watched it way back while I was working on my MA dissertation and it helped me SOOOO much in keeping me sane !! Now I'm working on my PhD thesis and here I go..hoping to keep me sane this time too! This drama will always hold a special place in my heart.
