Somewhere in between painful to watch and a really well done drama, but I still enjoyed it!

For the first three episodes of this series, I really didn't enjoy it at all and found it insanely cringey. For some reason though, I decided to give it a chance and continue, and I'm really glad I did!
Although there were still parts that made me cringe, and moments that just felt awkward, there were also plenty of wholesome, meaningful and emotional parts in the story. The characters were all developed really well I think, and although sometimes the romance felt a bit rushed, overall the relationships between all of them felt really genuine.
I wouldn't run around recommending to watch it, but if you're thinking of it, definitely do!

A drama I thoroughly enjoyed watching, and I would recommend it to those who are considering it.

I found each individual case really interesting, as they showed many different perspectives of many different people, which made me think about certain topics within society which I hadn't really thought about before. I also like that it pushed the fact that nobody is perfect, by showing both the good and the bad sides of lots of characters throughout the episodes.

One thing that felt kind of off for me though was the romance between characters. Honestly, I'm not sure if I sensed a huge amount of romantic chemistry between the main leads, and though they did have heart-warming moments, their relationship just didn't feel significant enough. On a similar note, there was another couple who were put together for no good reason; I don't see why they had to push romance onto the two of them, it was completely pointless and didn't really feel right.

The final episode had a lot going on, but I felt that the series was wrapped up nicely (though I have to admit that I haven't given it much thought), and I found I was satisfied with the ending.
Overall, I really liked the drama, and it was well worth my time.

Unpredictable, thrilling, and touching; I loved it!!

This was the first crime kdrama I watched, and I have to say it was an amazing choice! I really felt touched, many times, by the story, and cried with sadness or relief or disappointment along with the characters, and really felt for them. The characters were amazing, we saw both the good and the bad sides of many people, and the acting was absolutely brilliant!
The plot had so many different layers, and even though it had an unimaginable amount of twists and turns and secrets being unveiled, it was never confusing or overwhelming, and I really enjoyed speculating along with the characters.
Overall, I absolutely loved watching it, it's quite likely I'll watch it again someday, I would definitely recommend checking it out!

Highly recommended!!

Absolutely brilliant, I really enjoyed watching it. The story was really cute, heartwarming, and funny, and yet also managed to be realistic and included a handful of important life lessons in the episodes too.

None of the characters were perfect, and they all had both good and bad traits shown throughout, as well as a great deal of character development, which I really appreciate, as these details contributed to the realistic nature of the drama, as well as bringing us closer to the story by being able to relate to the characters and their faults.

The story was never boring or slow, nor did it at any point seem rushed or overbearing, though I did feel that one or two things were overdramatised to push the plot, or seemed to come out of the blue, but that's just a very minor observation on my part.

One thing I felt was a bit off though, was the relationships; for one thing, they seemed to have moved very fast, particularly one couple, and though I'm not entirely sure what the timeline is or how long they were dating, I feel like his request of getting to know each other slowly was quite forgotten, and their relationship seemed to move relatively quickly. Of course, the series can only be so long, so they had to move quickly to become close before the end, but, especially with minor characters, that can be unnecessary, and it might've been better to leave it up to the watcher's interpretation of what happens next.

Overall, it was an extremely enjoyable, feel-good drama which I would definitely recommend watching. I, for one, will definitely be revisiting Gongjin in the future, and I hope you will too.
