This show was kinda whack. Like, first off: The plot kinda forced the king game into it to go with the theme of the "first season" I was excited for this bc I thought the stories never finished in I Am Your King would be finished, but no, it has nothing to do with I am your king. The only thing alike is they brought in the concept of the king game messing with a group of guys and their feelings for each other. However, this one had a different setting and completely different characters (and tbh better kissing scenes if you care about that. I personally could care less but I at least don't want to sit through some awkward overly exaggerated scene clearly put there for fan service) Although I was disappointed, I still enjoyed this series on it's own merit. The acting was actually pretty good, and the plot wasn't t e r r i b l e. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't bad. My scoring of this series is, as always, biased bc I often let my enjoyment of the general aesthetic of a show overshadow my opinion on the actual quality. My other comments was the ending is a bit lacking. Not as lacking as the original I am your King, but still not great. There's plot holes, and a freaking time skip (my biggest pet peeve in dramas) and an uncertain ending (my other biggest pet peeve in dramas But it's still a decent show and worth a watch if you're a BL fan. Also, you will never know what to freaking ship in this series. I could never decide who I wanted to end up together.
My final verdict is, give it shot. If you don't like it by the third episode, it's not for you. If you liked the original I Am Your King you'll probably like this too.
