i agree with you, we cannot just think that UK is in love with MD simply because that is the body he is interacting with at the moment - the soul inside MD , the one that has been communicating with UK since their first encounter, is Naksu. # Naksu is the one sarcastic, strong will powered that respond to him , that challenge him, that knows how to train him in spells- Naksu is the one that is trying to get out of MD body since the beginning- and UK is helping Naksu with her goal.
this is of course my thinking only, but i believe UK loves Naksu , but a Naksu that nobody knows... the Cho's daughter, finally freeing herself from the 20 years of assassin role received form JU Mu... this is the Cho's daughter re-discovering her real self as not anymore on this forced "assassin-machine" role, nobody is asking her to kill anymore, and she is slowly re-discovering her real self as perhaps a more "normal girl" and this is the girl that UK is in love with- even Yul doesn't know this girl... as he met Naksu ( which was the nickname given to her) when she was already known as the Assassin ..
