I also think she is sensible and caring. There is a scene of her crying in the titles.... I just hope she wont be very hurt, hopefully her tears are when she hears the terrible things happened to the FL.
btw she did a somewhat similar character in "Master of My Own"

Exactly my thoughts... the elder in the village really gave me a bit hope, that too a remote village, how he knows about ballet and gave her paper cuttings etc... and FL asked her again... but he can be very impressed with it... thats why asked.
I am rewatching now.. sometimes I get a bit distracted and miss a bit... thats how the hospital conversation was missed.. also if its very slow.. like when the plane making things were going on.. I did ff a bit...!

Btw. I think Little Le will accept her.... bcoz both the father and son will know the actual facts only from her..... all these 12 years they didnt know the truth.

and You knowMiL is panicking and pushing him to marry... bcoz she is very afraid the truth will come out.....! there is a slapping scene in the titles, that means he will approach her with questions...!

mmm... quite possible, but why did he chose grandma's version to tell FL... pretty intriguing story..... !! Hopefully they will release two episodes at least.

ML's brother... oh ok!!, I thought ML's mother 's brother... I was confused with that... that conversation was in the kitchen .. and ML asked have you ever cared about me...? yes its a difficult situation... can be her sister... bcoz FL is a happy girl... till she delivered...
But what MiL did to FL is unforgivable..

But even without I am sure she would never leave him and she had absolutely no idea that baby was alive.... so ciminal of the MiL

I was confused with that.... i heard that conversation. but later he told FL his mother died in childbirth....!

Have a feeling she is going to ask him about the son now.... hopefully. Bcoz ep. it ended with him asking why you came, and she said are you afraid , is there something you haven't told me..... hopefully the SFL will hear.
I actually feels bad for the SFL, she looks a decent person, thinks he is a widower, long single father......
btw SFL did a similar role in "Master of My Own"

I think she is slowly realising how interfering. But cannot imagine the impact on her when she realises FL is the mother of MLs son...... thats when she will get the full picture of how evil that mothr is....

That was the reaction after seeing 2 episodes, and now that i finished 6.. I feel there is hope. Yes.. the younger version of both the leads were so good and strong.. ML wasnt weak... so FL leaving the child and him behind to further the career, must have totally devastated him. But i really want to see how the MiL managed to convince the ML and also how FL left..... bcoz even in the hospital she was telling her wait till your son return and I will tell him....

I think esp when he talks and laugh....

Now that i have seen 6 episodes, What is the story so far IMO. Both the leads were very much in Love when they were very young. She became pregnant and he insisted on marrying her. But his mother is a total control freak who doesnt agree to it, the reason is becoz of FLs dad, ML's uncle died, so mother is very annoyed seeing her. But ML's family insisted let them have the child, when she delivers, mother in law informed her the child died, She is a very rich and influential person. and ML was send away on business at that time. Actually all those are not yet clear to us.. only vaguely informed.... anyway somehow FL was send away to Paris and she left a letter to ML she want to pursue her careeer and leave. On the other side the child didnt die, MIL took him home and gave ML and said she said her career is more important and went to paris. this is the past.
Now she retired and came back home, she come across ML, son and current girl friend (which mother pushed down his throught).. she thinks he is married and got a son, so she stay away from him... he thinks she doesnt care at all about him or the child even after seeing him... actually thats what made him decide to get married.... meanwhile few things happend which put some doubts in FLs mind...like she saw his birthdate is same as her delivery date, and he has same milk intolerance... she wanted to ask ML, she meet son in the art school where she teaches ballet, and girl friend teaches Piano.... she seems pretty reasonable so far... bcoz she doesnt know any of the back story.... son was told mother died of child birth.....

Can she put the Mother in law in jail for this? isnt it criminal.....??

Its good, i am on ep 5 and its kind of slow in few episodes .. becos I think they are introducing all sides of the story....

How can any grown man let his mother control him like this....? Did he have a nervous breakdown or some mental issues.................?? She wlks in every minute... and pushing a girl on his face... is she mental case..?

I just started this drama, both QL and WC are actors I really like.... but the first red flag is the actress Chen Jin, she usually takes characters who are mean and nasty, and she excel in that.... here she is ML's mom.....oh no...!!!
Another thing the young Leads both the boy and girl looks damn cute....!

I got long reply .. but clicked the wrong button and whoosh..! everything disappeared..

I went through the same dilemma.. and it took 3 years to start this again..and now i completed. The reason was the Character ZL played, initially I was finding it difficult to take.. a wildling of a child....! But slowly you will know how she is what she is.... ill mannered and un educated... and crooked to the bone..! She is an abandoned child, badly treated by her devious aunt and grandma (bad grandma...eek!) but she is FL, so she is clever learned things by herself... I wont spoil it a lot for you.. but this is to get the general idea...
By ep 20... the story changes...
NOW...whats worth watching is....
Wu Lei and his black Squad... its a really Wow top team.. The sound effect of them riding in is really good... the cinematography and bgms are all really good...!
The emperor.... he is one of a kind, you will never find in any CDrama... he is funny, sensible and not manipulated by the court... not suspicious... or doubts everyone... His empress and consort.. both are top... peaceful Harem... but the next generation is total rubbish... rude, ill-mannered.. lot..
FL's family parents, brothers, cousins... all good...
Best thing I really liked in this drama is... they dont kill off all the single people at the end... like SML.. the last scene is really good...!

If its the same reason.... then go ahead... all other characters are really good.... So let me know.. if you watched... its a test of patience... initially! See I really like Wu Lei's acting... ever since I saw this kid in Nirvana in Fire... so I try to watch most of his dramas... if they are ok..

Another thing I wanted to say is ...its the make up which makes the drama more presentable or likeable.. like Li Yun Rui's hair style is bad here... but good acting... and this same guy slayed it in BLOSSOM again the hair style there was awesome...!

Such a funny guy, but you have to admire, which other actor will stand up and say it so openly. From what I have read here and there, LGX was always pretty laid back, takes few dramas... but he delivers, taking that negative role in Tale of Rose shows how good he is in his profession. Even Master of my Own, everyone was so upset with the character... but he did it so convincingly....!
Good to see such a good Comradery between these two, ZLY and LGX. He has a new drama coming out with Cheng Yi... teasers looks very good.. he is also a producer of that drama.

REBIRTH - People of course will be commenting on this, bcoz second part is few years after the ice lake incident. Unless ice lake made them younger (hence, the word REBIRTH...lol!) the second part of the book doesn't go with it. I don't think its the same behind the screen crew also.

IMO This must be actually part 1 & 2 together as one new Princess Agents drama. Li Yun Rui indeed came out so good in Blossom.
