Yea seriously....! I am not saying.. its an outstanding drama.. but its a good watch...!! Few people who did really good acting, one is , Fin Hann is little actor i really enjoyed watching in Joy of Life, as the young Fan Xian, here he is a teenager and his acting was superb.. Then I saw Lai Wei Ming for the first time in SoM, he frustrated me but his acting was good, I just finished Blossom of Power and he really did much better in that.. Then Lawrence Ng as FLs dad... !! The whole family of FL is good... ZJM really looked gorgeous where she had to dress up and attend a party.... I watch most of her dramas... bcoz her dialogue delivery is amazing.. she can belt out a whole book of speech.. !!

SoM.. is more about a rich circle of life...lots of laughter and fun...ofcourse there are tension and worries are there..... but bearable. whereas LFY Leads grew up in miserable situation.. fighting to survive kind of scenario.. when young... now both adult... I have read the novel a bit.. but I dont think they can show whats written in the novel... bit raw it is...!
He Yu seriously made the character Hua Yong so interesting.. If him and his shenanigans Plus his intense action scenes are not in a scene, i feel there is no life in it, I am on Ep33 and why all these princes are so obsessed...!!
I always thought no one could take the Drama Queen crown off Furong of Shenli, till I saw the way CP strutting around the court proudly displaying the scratch on his neck.. after the wedding night. ROFL!! I think He Yu excel in these type of role...!!

Like I wrote above..., Once they fall in love, the whole dynamic changes, their time together is too good. Very rarely you see a drama with the Main Leads so in love, get married and then they live together like a newly married couple happily, openly discuss everything, plan & scheme and act on it also..
Why you are not watching? you said you put it on hold, what annoyed you about GJZ? actually i really liked the character Gu JinZhao, they didn't make her do the usual FL shenanigans in this drama.. .she is very direct and open person, speaks her mind, whether it upsets others or not, if you forget the fact that, she is very young and pampered by her Grandmother and cousin then we might get annoyed, also she is very smart, learned everything from them, very good in business too.

I have read comments saying the drama version is much better. No pregnancies, and he is the most loving husband... infact their time together is seriously good. Very rarely you see a drama with the Main Leads so in love and get married and then they live together happily, openly discuss everything and scheme and act on it also..
Ci Sha, RenMin and Winwin did amazing job.. I just cants stop telling people how good a drama this is. It may not have traffic stars but really good actors and the way emote amazing..! Eventhough CiSha and Winwin are same age... the hair, make up and deeper voice (dub) gave Ci Sha a more mature, serious and dignified character..and made winwin a brat.
Only complaint is ending is hurried, i feel there are few loose ends... but its happy ending and so worth watching...! I think they couldn't finish it in 40 episodes.. Everything is done beautifully but towards the end.. i think they had to cut many part, so bit loose..! ( chopped off few parts were later on released in Special ...!
I agree with you. I thought them as a couple was very boring and attribute it to a lack of chemistry.
The rating is only for star presence of BaiLu and Cheng Lei, I was so looking forward to seeing their drama. I happen to see a clip of the scene BaiLu being discovered in AMA, my goodness.. whats acting she did in that... I think thats my first BaiLu drama...
Recently I watched "A Splendid Match" which was exceptionally done by all the actors in that especially the three main actors who are not as famous, but their acting, their emoting and story leaves such good feeling. Bit similar to TFJ, Main leads gets married early on, like in ep 28, its a 40 eps drama. Their life is so realistic, just like two newly married couple so much in love. The ending was happy but lacking, some loose ends too... but still I cant seems to be saying enough of the good things..
For me All actors are good, some dramas I like their Characters... in some they just dont click.
Bailu and Cheng Le could have chemistry with anything or anyone they act with, but I felt lacking in TFJ, the characters were very detached .. there was no intensity / longing in their relation or in their life.. I feel she cared about that wind chime more than Mo Xiayo, The only reason I kept watching till the end was to find out what exactly happened at the academy. Cheng Le was wasted.. Han Ming Xi/ Lin Muran.. where did he go...? Cai Zheng Jie had more emotions than everyone else...!!
It started so well... with a lot of mystery.. then it just disintegrated... The Academy and surrounding gave me a "The Demon Hunter's Romance" vibe... then I realised.. the directors are same in both...
IMO, Simon Gong / Gong Jun was exceptional as Wen Ke Xing, such a dramatic character . Lu XiaoFeng which i think is similar... he really shines in those roles.. so I am lookin forward to this drama release!!

Same here... the min i saw that mother interfering in his game, i have stopped watching them... what a drag that whole family were.. initially a lot of screen time given to them... Luckily we all could erase them but didnt without making any impact of the main story...

Jun's mother has so much screen time, I wonder why in a Romcom the mother appears more than most of the supporting actors.... I have been forwarding the min the parents appear on my screen, I have lost interest in Dang Yu and Jun also...

IMO I would have preferred FL to either confront her mom directly without using Xi Xiao's feelings for her, that is total manipulation just like her mother... or in confidence tell Xi Xiao, he goes out of his way to help her anyway, .. I also watched till Ep 8 and thought of waiting till all episodes released.. otherwise its too frustrating see ML getting used..
